"Steve Gavin, the owner came out and provided me with a great price that was inclusive of the entire scope of the project. During our meeting he took the time to explain the process that his company uses. Once the permits were issued the crew arrived the next morning at 7:00 a.m. as promised. The crew met the deadline for a 1:30 inspection from the Village of Deerfield. They not only met the deadline but they passed the inspection without any issues to be corrected. The crew worked until 7:00 p.m. completing the job. I would also note that they left my home spotless!"

"Unprofessional. Mardell (at N-Route) moved the washer/dryer out of place in a haphazard way and broke the vintage tile without informing us that he was moving it. He refused to take responsibility for the damage, nor the repair fee he would already charged. The tile is 100 years old and very difficult to replace."

At least 20 % of all costs are paid upfront by the client, 60% is paid before the drywall process and 20% is paid before completion of the job. Any problems experienced within 30 days of the job are corrected free of charge. Longer term warranties are available on some services.

The company was established in 1972 as P&J Heating and Air Conditioning by Pete and Jim. In the late 1980's, Air Wise and Best Heating (established in 1948) joined the family and American Comfort Heating & Air Conditioning was formed. The year 2003 is here and American Comfort joins a national franchise to offer clients a higher level of service. One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning is here for the residential customers while maintaining the American Comfort name for the Commercial side of the business. It may seem like a lot of change, but, it was all done under one of the original owners. To this day, we are still family owned and operated.

Tech recommended replacement of one electrical component due to wear (he showed me the old component to demonstrate pitting of the contacts after 10 years of service) and one consumable element (condensate pan treatment), as well as optional lubrication and addition of a starter component to improve longevity of the compressor. Routine service call was free as it's included in the maintenance contract - the additional parts and service already mentioned resulted in the additional charges, though the cost was discounted due to maintenance plan and installation during routine service call."
