"David Booth came to check out the house in order to give an estimate for removing knob and tube wiring. I called and left a message at the office last week (he was on vacation, according to the answering machine) and he called me back first thing Monday morning (when he got back, also according to the answering machine). He arrived a few minutes early (2:55 v. 3pm) and was professional and personable throughout. He checked out the attic, basement, and walked through the house to get an idea of what the best options and worst case scenarios might be. He explained his thought process to us and said he would write up an estimate that includes both his hourly rate and how long he thinks the different options will take. He does not charge for estimates or for visits to produce an estimate. He didn't try to push us toward things we aren't interested in, although such services are offered by the company according to the website (e.g., generators, lighting design) and may be relevant for us later on. So I appreciated that he was listening to what we were asking for.
