"<p>I bought a home built in the 1980s that had recently had a kitchen remodel.  The individual who did the wiring did a very poor job.  One of the GFCIs did not work at all and when my contractor replaced it, the microwave and a bank of lights stopped working completely.  Another outlet was not attached to the stud and you could not plug anything into it because when you pressed on it to insert a plug the receptacle sagged back into the wall cavity.  All of this was discovered two days before I moved in.</p> <p>As I am new to the area and a single woman, I turned to Angie's list to help me find a reputable electrician.  Kevin responded to my inquiry the same day and was at my house the next.  He got everything up and running in under an hour.  I was so impressed that I hired him again to come back and do some additional work that was less urgent than having my microwave and lights working.  Kevin is very honest, sincere and courteous.  I highly recommend him.  He will treat you fairly and with respect.  </p> <br />"

"I haven't got my gift card yet. I haven't completely set up the system yet. My wife and I had to go out of town and I had it set up for the most vulnerable places.  <br /> <br /> I thought the gift card was supposed to be here within 30 days. The house was flooded in Aug. I didn't realize I couldn't set it up, the first part of the house we did after the flood was the den. But we bought a lot of our stuff and kept it in the den because we could only get a small storage bin. 20000 people looking for storage space, there weren't any left. Most of the stuff I have was stored in the den and it has 8 windows, so the windows where the system was going was in the den.  <br /> <br /> Now the motion detector and security system has been set up except for a few window magnets. The alarm is working fine and working correctly.  <br /> <br /> Any problem I had I called customer support and they walked me thru the steps. It was a great price for a home security system. Then for $37 a month, you spend that much on beer for a weekend. I have nothing to complain about so far. It appears to be top notch. The software updated as soon as I turned it on. It was pretty easy and I think anybody would be able to set it up. I activated it and the tech support was great. They were very polite and cordial on the phone.  <br /> <br /> Very professional. It's a fair price for a fair deal. As far as I am concerned it is a great product and the tech support was great. There isn't any place else you can get this good of a security system for this price.  <br /> <br />"

"I have a 60 year old house. The past few weeks I had issues with lights all through the house flickering, gradually worsening to the point of flickering continuously. Concerned about the likelihood of old wiring going bad and needing some major work, I messaged them through Angie's List at 1030pm, assuming (hoping) they would contact me some time the next day. Within a few minutes I received a text saying he could try and come out tomorrow afternoon, but it sounded as if I should call the power company first to check wiring coming to the house, then if there was nothing the power company found wrong he would check it out. NES came to the house, identified the problem, and fixed it. Even though Barnes Electric never came to my house, he provided free, honest advice (which was correct) and indirectly helped fix my electrical problem. It would have been so easy, and not surprising, for any other company to have come to my house and charged a service call visit to do the exact same thing this company did through text messages at 1030 at night. They have completely earned my respect and I will definitely use them for any future needs I have and recommend them to others."

"The install went smoothly and did not take long. The only thing that was not perfect was having to reschedule a few times because of Luminous' scheduling problems due to employee illness. Probably not their fault and the owner was good to communicate the changes, so I still gave them high marks. Recommended."

So really the best thing for me was being able to call without feeling like I was complaining and say I have a few stray weeds.
