"First, I have not had great luck finding good contractors in the Santa Fe area. However, Santa Fe Electric is an exception: In the first case, the outside lighting, I had had two other people work on the problem over several previous years. Neither fix lasted more than a couple months. Further, there was one issue both said could not be corrected. But when Peter Montoya and his associate came out, they dug in, did the dirty work, and today the lighting is still working perfectly--and they fixed the 'unfixable' problem..... I had them out again when the fan in my shop air filtration system would try to start up unexpectedly--like when I turned on a light or fan in another room. Peter Montoya came out and did a thorough investigation. Finding nothing, he had me call the public utility to check the outside connection. When they found nothing wrong on their end, he even talked an out of state engineer friend about the problem--he was taking ownership of the issue. (Turns out it was a faulty circuit board, which Peter had told me to have checked).... I fully respect the integrity and ability of Santa Fe Electric. And Peter Montoya is a very easy and pleasant person to work with."

"I volunteered to remodel a newly purchased house built in 1952 (with three subsequent additions over time) for my elderly sister who was moving to Albuquerque.
