"Mac did an outstanding job replacing our poured concrete sidewalk. He was able to do the work quickly, on budget and the result was outstanding! Mac was great to work with...no problems communicating with him. We wanted to make sure our project was done with minimal impact to our yard and Mac did a great job in that regard. He also cleaned up after the work was done. I would recommend Sullivan Stone (Mac is the owner) without hesitation! We're planning another project for next year and I will definitely reach out to Sullivan Stone to assist us with that as well!"

"Pat came to my home - quite a way out from his location, for an estimate on a basement project. I was satisfied with the information and attention to detail he had to offer on what would need to be addressed for the project. I asked that if it was possible to please send me an estimate by Monday due to a timeline I had to make a decision by. He stated the he would try for Sunday. It's Thursday and I never did receive an estimate. I contacted the number listed on his business card, texted, emailed, and sent a message through the home advisor site, even contacted the person managing my search through Home Advisor, and no luck?! I'm not sure what happened, but I am disappointed that he never got back to me. I hired another contractor."

"Very well! He was well prepared to do the work. I had a long list of other small repairs plus I asked if he would paint my shed. He agreed to return in two weeks. He has a large van type truck which his traveling work shop. He had all the things he needed to do all the repairs, with him.Tha plumbing was the kitchen sink and the outside water faucet. The electrical was light. above the kitchen sink. On the way out, he took the time to tighten the screen door.. The wind had blown it against the house. Needless to say, I was very happy with his work! He is a quiet spoken man , tends right to work. Very efficient!"

"I wrote some emails, and Jon was the first to respond. He came, said he could do it, and just asked that I cut  a trail with my snowblower from the back hatch to the front driveway (which I gladly did). He carefully and without mess got rid of the oil tank from the basement. He has earned my trust, and I have hired him to move us locally. I'll let members know how the move goes, but he has earned the chance.

"We were not only pleased with the work but with contractor and workers as well.  Contractor was the only one of three we contacted for estimates to return our call in a timely manner.  He helped us think through a couple of options and we then settled on the 4' crawl space as the one we could afford.  His estimate was thorough and a payment schedule was agreed upon by both parties prior to the work.  The work was scheduled and performed according to agreed upon time table.  Contractor and workers were knowledgable, helpful and respectful.  The project was completed with minimal disruption to our daily routine.
The estimate from Multy Builders was the only one we got so we are not certain how it would have compared to others.  Multy Builders was recommended to us by another contractor we used for a small job and they were the only one to respond to our intiial phone call in a timely manner so we went with them.  We have had no reason to doubt our decision.  The work is quality.  We know this because we have lived with it for the past 8 years and have never had an occassion to regret our choice of contractor.   Cost wise, we feel the outcome was well worth what we paid.   We would recommend Multy Builders without reservation.  As a matter of fact, we had them return to do the same work under a smaller portion of the house not covered in this project 3 years later.

"Expert House Movers brought a crew of 6-8 & came in late August 2013 to start the process of raising & moving the house.  My husband had done all the prep work of disconnecting the utilities & removing the furnace, etc. They dug access ramps to the old foundation/basement with bobcats.  They poked good sized holes around the foundation so they could put in steel beams and jack up the house.  Our foundation was from 1917 & built from old creek gravel cement, so it was pretty tough.  It took three & half days to jack the house & move it over the driveway.  It seemed really fast to me.  The only thing to fall in the house was a picture off the piano.  We still had access to the house through a tall ladder to get clothes, etc. that we needed.
We took over the process of arranging excavation, concrete pouring, and carpenters with more local contractors.  Expert does have concrete people & others they use in the St Louis area that know exactly the requirements needed for the new foundation.
After the basement was poured & cured (curing takes about 3-4 weeks), Expert returned in October 2013 to move & set the house.  They had been in contact with the concrete man for specifications, but there were no slots for the beams when setting the house down.  A concrete worker had to come & cut those slots.  We had a carpenter on hand to finish the sill installment & make sure the sills for the permanent beams was correct & set the support posts in the basement.  We also had a friend's tractor help Expert's bobcat pull the house back over the foundation.  While all this was going on, Expert was jacking and moving supports & placing slider beams & raising & lowering the house.  The process was complete in about 2 1/2 days with care & precision.  Some of the cracks in our house even disappeared.  Great job guys.
Our carpenters returned to build a staircase & some other requirements.  We are working on re-connecting utilities & returning the furnace, water heater, etc. to the new basement.  We plan to move back into the house in the first week or so in November 2013.  It's been a long process, but well worth it.  Made possible by Expert House Movers!

"This was the most money we have ever paid anyone to do anything...ever. The Sheridans had our trust throughout the entire process. They gave an affordable quote and did awesome work. They cleaned up during each stage of the project and always communicated well with me about timing and issues that came up. Our garage dimensions were awkward and not a perfect rectangle by any means - these guys had to craft a kit of workarounds for irregular shapes and curves. Todd and Luke are good human beings with positive attitudes, and care about their integrity and their work. I hope to use them in the future."

"We had a 15x30 ft. in ground pool that had seen better days, and we wanted to reclaim our backyard. My brother owns an excavator, so I removed the pool/concrete with him, but I still had a big hole to fill. Ross Dirtworks did an excellent job hauling in the fill, re-grading the yard, and topping it off with top-soil. They specialize in smaller excavating jobs. They were a lot less than the landscapers I had quote the job. Bill (the owner) was extremely easy to work with. He told me upfront that the finish he left would not be ready for seed, and would need some work with a rake to get it ready. He did a very good job getting it smoothed out, so I only spent about a half-day raking, seeding and mulching to get seed down. The job took a couple days longer to complete due to weather and some other jobs he was working on, but I was not on a time-table, and he understood that. He did make every effort to work with me, so I would just say be clear with what your schedule is."

FAQs for concrete flatwork repair & resurface projects in Milton, VT

When evaluating whether patching can address your concrete blemishes, it’s important to assess the extent of the damage. Minor issues such as small cracks or chipped areas may be effectively repaired with patching techniques that restore the surface’s appearance. However, if you notice widespread deterioration, significant cracks, or structural weakening, resurfacing is recommended as a more durable, long‑term solution. A thorough evaluation by a concrete specialist can help determine the best course of action for restoring your concrete to its optimal condition.

The optimal time to resurface your concrete driveway is late spring. This period benefits from warm temperatures and softened ground conditions following winter’s freeze‑thaw cycles, ensuring that the new overlay bonds securely and matures to a durable finish. Resurfacing at this time also enhances your property's safety and curb appeal. Engage a concrete professional to schedule your project during this ideal season.
