"Estimate was given and we agreed on the job to be done, a month's hence. When the appointed day approached (day before) we called Valley Landscaping and talked to the estimator (Joe? Joell?) and asked if they were indeed and quot;coming tomorrow.and quot; He said that No, they weren't as the truck was in the shop for over a week (assuming they meant the truck with the mulch blower attached to it. My husband said, and quot;Well, why didn't you call to let us know? We came back from a trip especially to be home for the mulch job.and quot; The fellow said, and quot;Well, I have too many people to call.and quot; FAUX PAS!? Not great business acumen. <br /> Rescheduled day, and the crew arrived with the big truck full of mulch. The 3 man crew was EXCELLENT. The lead guy is Sean, who is a superb worker and someone who really knows his stuff. He directed the other 2 (Chad and Vincent) and in a day and a half, they had the mulch placed on our very steep hill (front yard is very steep and is a large area...planted with many bushes and trees) and a short uphill planted area behind the house). We never saw the estimator again, but have no complaints whatsoever about the crew. <br /> We had a huge rainstorm the night that the majority of the hill was mulched and it stayed on the hill, with only a couple of areas near the outlets of our drains and gutters. The fellows returned the morning after to finish the job (maybe 4 hours worth of work) and put rocks where the gutters and drains emit water. <br /> GREAT JOB BY SEAN AND CREW! <br />"
