"Abhorrent! AVOID AVOID AVOID! Less than zero stars!! I had them come out to repair my refrigerator water dispenser motor. They quoted me $400 at the time and I said I would have to wait to do it. They charged me $75 to come out (unmentioned prior) and said that they will apply the $75 toward the repair of the refrigerator when I was ready. Well, today I was ready. I called them to set up an appointment to have it fixed. I mentioned that I was a customer of theirs and let them know I had paid the $75 fee and NOW they said they WOULD NOT APPLY IT TO THE SERVICE! Their excuse? ?It?s been over a year?. NO ONE EVER MENTIONED THAT AT THE TIME OF THE ORIGINAL PAID VISIT. They said ?Whenever you?re ready to have the motor replaced? to call them to set it up. Not only did the tech NEVER MENTION THIS, but when I called the day they came out TO CONTEST THE $75 FOR NOTHING FEE, she ALSO never mentioned 90 days or an expiration on the $75 fee!!! The Grove Handyman is a family owned business with well over 50 years of experience. We control our quality of work by staying small. All jobs will be overseen or handled by company owner Roger Camacho.
"As an association board member, I was looking for a licensed and insured handyman, who would be available when we needed repairs for our 4 floor, 30-unit building. They needed to be responsible and experienced in a multitude of jobs. I also needed someone who would also be available for a unit owner if needed. I got calls asking what I needed to fix and what I wanted to pay but no one would come out to SEE what needed to be done. Roger Camacho of The Grove Handyman called me and came over to look over our building. He handed me copies of his certification and insurance then sent me a quote. He did his first job; replacing over 125 lightbulbs in the building, including the garage. He cleaned each fixture, fixed what needed fixing and replaced each bulb. Everyone noticed the difference! He was persistent in resolving a leaky window that flooded a unit. Not a drop through the rainy season. Roger communicates well and responds to calls. He is responsible, honest and a talented person when it comes to resolving problems. He redid my master bath, took out the old whirlpool tub, removed the old tile floor and replaced all the wallboard. From electrical to plumbing to retiling the tub area and the floor, I am in love with my new bathroom. I cannot express the trust and respect I have for his character and integrity. I will never hesitate to recommend Roger to anyone."
