"I am so happy! Before, I had 3 flooring companies 2 concrete companies not want to do the work it required for my home to get the floor in because of a sloppy DIY someone else before us did. saying it was going to be an amazingly high price to get what I wanted. there were 6 inch step down in two different places that I wanted flush. I am so happy I found them on Angie’s list! Carlos who was very professional, came in and leveled it spectacularly. His team made all levels flush with each other and then stamped the concrete to look like a wooden floor. Although this is pre-stain color I already am so please. he listened to what I wanted and I am very happy with the end result I would hire again and do plan to to resurface my pool/driveway. THANK YOU! "

"Premier is the best for this work. They did an amazing job preparing the concrete in our home for new flooring. After our flooring install contractor had to cancel on us, Premier offered to do the flooring install at a great price too! Definitely would recommend."

"I contracted with this company to repair my swimming pool and the foundation of my home 11/30/18. At this point, I have to give the company a C- (at best) for their performance. I could probably write several pages about the experience, but I will try to confine myself to the main points. On the plus side, they did perform the work I contracted for (cost $34,000), with one exception. The contract calls for a follow-up floor survey which was completed 11/24/20. To date (01/20/21), I am still waiting for the survey report. The expression, “take the money and run” comes to mind. This review will cover some of the things to consider when contracting with this company. The process will begin with the floor survey and repair report (cost $400). The sales agent will review the report with you and recommend a contract for the repairs. Mistake one. They offer a 5% discount if you sign the contract immediately. However, given it takes at least an hour to review the repair report, it would take another hour to review the massive number of “outs” written in the contract. Skip the discount so you know what you are getting into. For example, the foundation repair involved moving the flagstone on my patio. I had to pay another company to re-install the flagstone; not included in the contract. Mistake two. Most foundation problems are due to drainage; water pooling by the home. The repair report identified drainage problems, but they were not discussed, and the needed “hardscaping” to correct the problem was not included in the contract. My advice is to correct any drainage problem, then consider whether you still need a foundation repair. Mistake three. The repair plan allows the company to “adjust” the repair plan based on “site conditions”. They had to move the placement of the repair (poles driven into the ground, called push piers) because I have an air conditioner located where they planned to place the pier. Walk around the outside of your home and verify WHERE the piers will be placed, before signing the contract. Once you sign the contract, it is next to impossible (at least in my case) to get anyone to further discuss the repair plan. Mistake three. The pool repair was not performed by this company; it was subcontracted to another company, with no warranty. Better to simply find a pool repair company. The subcontractor would refer me back to AFS if I had a question about the pool repair, and good luck getting an answer from AFS. Mistake four. There ARE other companies that perform this work."

"I originally asked for an estimate for stamped concrete, and Vince talked me out of it due to the added expense (around $7.50 sq ft vs. $4.50 for flat work, requires annual sealing, can be uneven, collects water). I was glad he did. He did a nice job with the flat concrete, the diamond pattern cuts look great, and it saved me a lot of money. I wasn't expecting him to be able to move the sprinkler line and valve box, but this was a nice added service he included; however, his crew did install the valve backwards and I had to tell him about it, and he did then fix it correctly. They also had to cut a metal fence post, remount it to the new concrete and weld it back together--done about as well as could be expected given the age and somewhat rusted nature of the fence.

The colorizing came out fine, but it was hard to predict what this would look like. He didn't have sample concrete to look at, and I would have needed to go to another site to look at this. We chose to just pick a brownish/red color and hope for the best. It worked out ok and I'm happy with the color, though I had expected it to have more variation for effect (it's pretty uniform throughout).

Overall, Vince's team did great. They were prompt, definitely know concrete and how to do it right, and at a price that was better than expected. I'm really happy with the patio."

FAQs for concrete flatwork repair & resurface projects in Prescott, AZ

When evaluating whether patching can address your concrete blemishes, it’s important to assess the extent of the damage. Minor issues such as small cracks or chipped areas may be effectively repaired with patching techniques that restore the surface’s appearance. However, if you notice widespread deterioration, significant cracks, or structural weakening, resurfacing is recommended as a more durable, long‑term solution. A thorough evaluation by a concrete specialist can help determine the best course of action for restoring your concrete to its optimal condition.

The optimal time to resurface your concrete driveway is late spring. This period benefits from warm temperatures and softened ground conditions following winter’s freeze‑thaw cycles, ensuring that the new overlay bonds securely and matures to a durable finish. Resurfacing at this time also enhances your property's safety and curb appeal. Engage a concrete professional to schedule your project during this ideal season.
