His fee was reasonable, especially when compared to a few others. He was very accommodating setting the day and time to suit my schedule. We stayed in touch that day and arrived on time and quickly did the job. He wasted no time, came fully equipped and tidied up after. He was very professional and pleasant. I highly recommend him and intend to use him in the future. "

"AVA Electrical and Lighting Services were excellent. Lucas came to our home and explained what he proposed and explained why once we told him what we needed and why. Because of our project we knew, up front, there would be some delay. He gave us a fair price and installation date. Through no fault of his there were some delays which did not surprise us. At all times he kept us appraised of the status of the job calendar. Along the way he received a reduction of price the materials were going to cost him and, honestly, passed them on to us. His work was clean, neat and efficient. I would highly recommend his company and use him again should the need arise."

"Ivan and Roman did an absolutely amazing job with the lighting for my apartment. They installed a chandalier in the hallway, a nice lighting fixture and a dimmer switch in the bedroom, and a ceiling fan in the dining room. I was really happy when they told me that they would be able to install the dimmer in my bedroom, something that my grandmother's handyman had told me previously (without even looking at the wiring in the bedroom) would not be possible due to my building's old wiring. When Ivan and Roman were finished with each installation, they asked me if it was to my liking before moving onto the next one and if I wanted something changed a little (ex. the height of the chandelier) they were glad to do so. Also, they were very precise and neat while working. I'm so happy with how everything turned out and I would definitely recommend them!"

"Victor at AVD Electric came out and thoroughly checked out the electric panel. He corrected loose connections and the condition of all circuit breakers. Victor turned all the house lights on and turned on major appliances, and then waited to see if there were power issues. There were not so he concluded that the issue was resolved. Victor is very professional, knowledgeable and courteous. He clearly is a very accomplished electrician. He phoned me the next day to see if everything was working properly. "Hired John to repair an exterior light fixture. I didn’t want to replace it, and John was able to replace the socket in the fixture. He didn’t push me toward costlier services than I needed. He was quick and had all the parts handy. I also hired him to assemble and install a ceiling fan (replacing a light fixture). He offered a few options for how to wire it and control it from light switches, with remotes, etc. The final choice worked fine and it’s running well with no wobbling. I will hire him again to install a fan in another room, and other electrical projects when needed. (I didn’t rate him on price because I didn’t compare prices before hiring him — I hired him based on his reputation, and am glad I did.)"

"I had the good fortune of meeting Gregg from Firefly Landscape Lighting several weeks ago. He is a teacher who loves spending time outdoors when not at school. I had Kicher outdoor lights installed last year. From the first day, I had issues with lights being lighter and darker than each other and others going out completely. Gregg met me at exactly 7am as promised so I could leave for work on time. He was able to tell me within several minutes what was wrong with the system and what he needed to do to get it working. Gregg seemed very honest and knowledgeable and gave me what seemed to be a fair price for the work that needed to be done. I agreed to have him fix the system that day. I left for work and he called me several hours later that the system was fixed and it was. I am only sorry that I did not know Gregg at the beginning of the project so that he could have helped with design, fixture selection and installation. I am sure it would have come out much better."

"Melichar's electrician texted in advance of arriving on time to repair a partially broken bathroom fixture installed by another contractor.  He said he would order the part to repair it.  Several days later Mr. Melichar phoned me to say that parts were not available- we could either order a new light or install parts from another light.  The latter would run up labor costs.  I decided on a new fixture.  He gave me an excellent price and installed it within a week.  The electricians were punctual leaving the bathroom spotless.  Excellent and very professional. <br />"
