"We just had our backyard patio done by Rolland Cement and we could not be happier with the results. The owner, Greg Rolland, was professional and responsive from the beginning when we called in January for an estimate to the end of the project.The price was very fair. It was pretty impressive to see the crew of 6ish men efficiently get the project done at each step like a well oiled machine- they really are a master of their trade. The final product was exactly what we asked for and looks amazing. We were also pleasantly surprised that the yard sustained almost no damage, considering there were massive equipment and trucks rolling through it (they put pads down on the lawn to protect it). We feel really good knowing that it was "done right" and will be contacting the company again in the future for other concrete projects. Just a helpful hint: We started looking into getting a patio poured last summer and much to our frustration, everyone we contacted was solidly booked for the year. We learned the hard way that if you want to get a patio or any type of summer project done, you need to get a hold of the company and get it locked in as early as possible. These companies are incredibly busy once the summer begins and are tackling project after project. So if you begin calling around in June and you do no hear back, it's not that they are being jerks, it is that they have a million other things on their plate."

"John Haddad is very dedicated to providing excellent customer service. Last fall John transplanted several 4 foot deciduous trees and some boxwood bushes for me. He responded very quickly to my inquiry and made an appointment to complete the job in a timely fashion. He arrived on schedule and completed all the transplants without disturbing all the other vegetation. He also refilled the areas where the trees/bushes were removed. I feel that John offers competivite pricing, is very honest. If he doesn't personally have the knowledge or expertise for the job he is very resourceful and competent, hiring the necessary contractors to complete the job."

"From the time the crew showed up, it was very clear these guys were the 'A' Team.  They had a 220v diesel generator (on a trailer) which powered the floor grinder.  At 54" wide, it was heavy enough to work the surface of the concrete and progressively grind it flat.  Changing out pads from coarse to finer grits, the machine, materials and laborer made quick work of the garage floor.  Finally, densifier was applied to the floor to help strengthen the cement surface as well as providing a sheen during the following burnishing process.  The entire sq ft. of the garage was completed in about 6 hours.  Since the machine had dual vacuums to suck up the grit during the process, the garage and surrounding area remained pretty clean during the job. <br /> I have received many compliments on the finished cement surface (though I need to complete the remainder of the garage), and would contact NC Cement again if I needed a service they offer.  Very professional, punctual, courteous.  Can't say enough really. <br />"

"They did a nice job pouring but the completion was not timely. Beyond that, we had some issues after the completion and they failed to honor their one year warranty. I had to hire a completely different company to finish the work they should have done correctly or at least should have stood behind."

"I’ve just been through the first winter with my new driveway from T. Burke and I could not be more pleased. I needed the asphalt pad at the garage replaced and my dirt driveway raised above grade. Tom Burke and I decided on new asphalt replacing the existing pad and then asphalt milling for the driveway. The new asphalt pad needed to have a new grade direction to take the water away from the house. The milled driveway needed nearly a one-foot raise of the grade to keep snow from drifting into the driveway all winter. Tom’s lead, Mike, and the entire crew did a fantastic job installing the 3” asphalt pad and milling. They were perfectionists! I never had any snow drifting onto the driveway all winter and the asphalt pad drains perfectly away from the house into the yard. Tom was either on-site or in contact with me by phone throughout the job. I would highly recommend T. Burke for any paving needs."
