"Robert did a fantastic job with our stump removal project. Especially considering the stump was not in an easy access area, he removed the stump and roots quickly and efficiently. Left the area smoothed out and filled in with surrounding soil. Stayed within our budget (reasonable prices). Would highly recommend."

"I had American Tree Care out in 2012 and they did a great job, so I contacted Ammon last fall about coming out again and doing more cleanup in my yard. I had a dead alder tree that looked like it was about to fall over (but woodpeckers loved!) removed entirely and the stump ground. I had some really out-of-control trees on both side yards removed and stumps ground as well. And some other trees in my back yard, I had him remove what branches he felt needed to be removed in order to clean up the appearance and make them safer, and remove several branches that were hanging over neighbor's property removed so they didn't break off and drop on his plants or yard. My yard looks great and wide open now in areas where there was a lot of branches overhanging from neighbor's yards. (He pruned those back). I also had some wood in back that broke off in a windstorm that his crew cut into smaller pieces for me. They used a chipper to chop up all the branches, etc and left the pile in a place where I could spread them out to cover dirt to prevent weeds and moss. They did a great job cleaning up all the debris from the work they did. Very happy with the work the crew did today and I highly recommend them! Thanks Ammon!"

"Jon and his crew showed up on time, were very professional, worked quickly and ensured any questions or concerns I had were immediately addressed. I had four trees removed, two of which were right next to a storage shed, both trees were removed with precision and all the branches/debris were cleaned up. I also had two large areas cleared of brush, downed trees and stumps. Jon made quick work of the overgrown brush and exposed areas of my property I have never seen."

"Initially, I wanted the tree removed entirely, but Mark talked me out of it, even though it presumably would have been more money to them if they removed it.  He convinced me that it was a nice tree, but it just needed some work to get it cleaned up and out from over the house.  He came out promptly and gave me a very reasonable quote.  Some other things came up, so I couldn't do the work right then, but he nevertheless honored his quote when I called back several months later.  His crew was timely and very efficient, and they cleaned up after themselves nicely.  They did a great job navigating around some power lines and such.  The tree now looks great, and clearing out all those branches definitely improved the house's look and light in that corner.  Plus, I now don't have to worry about limbs on the roof or needles clogging my drains!  I would definitely call Mark again if (more like when) I need tree work.  They did a fantastic job!

"Amazing team. Great service. Super clean and professional. We had many large trees that needed to be trimmed and/or removed in addition to fruit trees that needed to be tended. I can not recommend them highly enough. They went above and beyond to be sure everything was the way we wanted and absorbed several last minute requests. All was done exactly as promised in terms of cost and timeliness."

FAQs for tree stump removal projects in Seattle, WA

Always transport chainsaws with the engine off and chain brake engaged. Use the protective bar cover provided by the rental company to prevent accidental contact with the cutting chain. Position the chainsaw securely in your vehicle to prevent movement during transit, ideally in a truck bed or trunk rather than the passenger compartment.

For gas models, ensure the fuel cap is tight and position the saw to minimize potential leakage. Keep the chainsaw away from passengers and other items that could be damaged.

Proper safety equipment is essential when operating any chainsaw. At minimum, you should have eye protection (safety glasses or a face shield), hearing protection (earplugs or earmuffs), cut-resistant gloves, chainsaw chaps or pants, and sturdy boots with good traction.

Many rental facilities offer basic safety kits alongside chainsaw rentals. If you'll be using chainsaws regularly, investing in quality personal safety gear is advisable. Never operate a chainsaw without appropriate protective equipment, regardless of the job size.

While rental companies will rent chainsaws to beginners, inexperience significantly increases safety risks. If you've never used a chainsaw before, request a demonstration from the rental staff and thoroughly review the operator's manual before starting. Begin with smaller, more manageable cutting tasks to build comfort with the tool's operation.

For significant cutting jobs, consider either taking a chainsaw safety course first or hiring professionals instead. The learning curve for safe chainsaw operation is steep, and caution is paramount.

If mechanical problems develop during your rental, immediately cease operation and contact the rental company. Most reputable rental businesses will either provide a replacement chainsaw or repair the equipment if the breakdown resulted from normal use rather than misuse. Document the issue with photographs when possible and maintain records of when you reported the problem.

Having your rental agreement readily available when you call will expedite the resolution process. The rental company should adjust your rental period to account for any downtime.
