Bilt-Rite Construction

A lot of problems on the job site. Workers not actual Bilt-Rite employee's but contractors. Although the house looked great when done, they sided over the shower vent which never got fixed. The front door was replaced and had no lock on it. They did install a lock but was put on crooked and looked bad. Bilt-Rite only sent me a check for the lock and did not replace the door, which is still on. Front doorbell stopped working because when it was disconnected the wires fill into the hole and couldn't be recovered without tearing out what had been completed already. Running out of space. Looked good but too many problems.

Bilt Rite told us the project would take 2-3 weeks and it ended up taking them 4 months! They tried to demand payment prior to the job being completed, which was VERY unprofessional. Wormanship was poor in places and a lot of damage was done to our personal property. All in all, when the job was finally complete, we are satisfied with the final look, however it was NOT worth the stress and headache to get there.

Installers worked very quickly. We ordered new windows for the top two floors of our home and they really took care to keep out drafts and work quickly to keep out the cold. The windows are working well to help block out sound and the weather. I'm sure our heating bill will go WAY down!

the guys did an EXCELLENT job, sooner then anticipated and quicker. wasn't supposed to get windows untill some time in Jan, were installed b4 Xmas - was told 3 days, were done in 1.5 and all for a reasonable price. Phil made it clear that he would beat any other estimate i had. would definintely recommend Built-Rite to any of my friends...

The price was definately right for the work I requested. They were not neat in keeping their trash to a minimum and had to ask several times for it to be cleaned up during project. Regarding timeliness (understanding the weather was not always cooperative) they did not complete the job as quickly as I would have liked. There were times they said they would be there and did not show up.

Bilt-Rite was chosen because they not only meant my budget requirements but were able to provide my windows in a timely manner. I was very impressed by how nice the installers were and how quickly they completed the installation. I would recommend them to anyone I know wanting to install windows. Another company was extremely over budget for my needs as was another company. I liked dealing with Mr. Goodman directly. It showed me he was more than just a business. He was an active participant in the entire process. This was my first major home improvement since I bought my home. I will consider Bilt-Rite for future projects.

Ran over schedule because they did not provide manpower promised. Workers hard working, professional, polite & receptive. They did a good job for being short staffed. Cleanup a problem due to low manpower For a large job, (condominium) poor supervision. Damage claims were not resolved in a timely manner. I would not recommend or hire this gen contractor again.
