He handled all correspondence with the Village of Frankfort to obtain the work permit and shared every step of the process. He was extremely knowledgeable and was able to explain the reason for the split from the brick work and drywall. Upon one visual inspection, he was able to determine the materials that would match. While I was nervous about the possibility of the materials not matching, honestly... you cannot tell the rework was not included in the original build. He and his team did a beautiful job with the reconstruction! Greatly appreciated!"

"Good. It took some back and forth to get the contract language the way I wanted it, but after that all went well. Alex is very responsive and professional. The masons did good work. They were not shy about replacing spalled common bricks. They grinded the old mortar to the depth as stated in contract. No shortcuts were taken. It was obvious these masons took pride in their work. Something that is getting rarer these days. I pointed out some smeared mortar on bricks and they cleaned it up right away. New bricks and mortar match the old well. They cleaned up after themselves. This is not a bargain handyman cash job. You see lots of shoddy tuckpointing in my neighborhood and it's sad. The fast cash guys don't grind the mortar down enough and the new mortar falls off after a few years. You'll pay more at AAA-1 but you get what you pay for. Masonry is an art and AAA-1 demonstrates that."

"I could not have asked for a better landscaper. When Frank came for the estimate he took the time to explain what was going to have to be done to give me a great looking wall. After the estimate was submitted and accepted he directed me to the supplier where I could look at a multitude of brick choices and actually see what they looked like, not just pictures. I had to delay the start of the wall in order to have some work done on my driveway. Frank was very patient. Once that work was done he immediately worked my job into his schedule. Showed up on a Monday morning as scheduled. Removed the old wall( 125ft of timber) and prepped the area for construction. This included having to remove approximately 2ft of dirt back from the wall site. At the end of the day you could only tell that Frank and his crew had been there because of the piles of dirt( this was all going to be reused) in my driveway. The rest of the area was basically spotless. On days 2 and 3 Frank and his crew ( 3 more men) built a 125ft wal of brick including laying down drainage behind the wall, backfilling as the wall went up with a dirt and gravel mix, and capping the wall. And a beautiful wall it is.

Frank also picked out the color of the brick. I had picked the brick, but when asked by Frank what color I left it to him. I said " You have done a hundred of these. You know my house color. Pick what you think would look good." He did a fantastic job. He and his crew are to be commended. Without a doubt any other landscaping work I would ever do would be done by Emerald Bloom Landscaping."

"83 masonry Reviewed my initial concern about areas of my home where the mortar was crumbling and falling out. It turned out that rusted lintels were no longer properly supported the brick around garden level windows and cracks were more extensive than I had initially detected. By their expert discerning of the underlying problem they provided a solution of new lintels with drainage to prevent it from happening again. They arrived early the day of the job, the owner was on site entire time participating in the work and provided insights throughout the repair about what was happening. They also supplied before and after photos, and left the work site spotless. Patient, detailed and knowledgeable. Great experience."

The stone at the back of my fireplace was cracked and the serviceman told me how to fix it myself for a low cost. He inspected my chimneys on my roof, took digital photos, and showed me them when he came down. I was missing a chimney cap, which I paid for by credit card and they installed on same visit, again showing my digital photos of their finished work. I would use them again."
