"After receiving quotes from two other reputable landscaping companies, we decided to go with Blue Ribbon for two reasons: they had the BEST quality "turf" (similar pricing) and they were the only bid that suggested recycling our beautiful red brick (instead of buying expensive artistic pavers or flagstone) and re-design the pattern to a gorgeous Herringbone 45 degree angle AND seal the red brick giving it a fabulous glossy look. I have to tell you, I was nervous after I signed the contract, wrote a check and read a few negative reviews on Google sites but our experience was FANTASTIC!
Phil quoted us 4-6 weeks since they are in busy season and they came on week 6 (we were in no rush, it is 105 degrees outside!). The job took them a mere 3 days and it came out waaaaay BETTER than I expected/ envisioned! Truly- blown away with the quality of work and craftsmanship from his team! Not to mention, they were all extremely professional and wonderful to work with. Very courteous and polite!
Like any major project, I would highly recommend being home for the initial start and reviewing the contract and a diagram of your expectations with the crew supervisor... our brick was almost re-laid out in the same pattern! They were totally cool about it and made sure it was done exactly as planned.
About a month after the project was completed, we had extreme rainfall in Tucson and noticed a divot in the turf. Phil's team came over the very next day, pulled the turf back, filled the hole and good as new. NOW THAT IS SERVICE!
5 stars because they were awesome all the way- from Phil in Sales to the Crew who made our yard the envy of the neighborhood. I would HIGHLY recommend Blue Ribbon Builders.

"The work was done in a timely and professional manner. The two paver installers showed up each morning around 6 am and finished up by around 1:30 pm."

"Scott, the owner, personally came to my house and did the quote for the project. Then he was here both days that his crew was working to make sure everything was the way I wanted. I like that personal touch. And I didn't have to wait a long time either! He first said he could have it done in a couple of weeks and then called me the next day when another job got pushed back and was able to come the following week to get it done for me. His crew was wonderful! I couldn't believe how fast they cleaned up my yard. It would have taken me a week or longer to do it myself. And then they did all the landscaping the second day in about 5 hours. I got pea gravel, a lot of turf and a very nice brick 10 x 10 patio. It's just beautiful looking and I'm very happy with it. My old ugly yard is no more! Scott also explain to me how to maintain and take care of the turf,, so now I feel like I can keep my yard looking beautiful forever."

"Exxcell Landscaping turned a baren landscape into a vibrant, livable space I will enjoy for years. I hired Exxcell Landscaping for a turf and irrigation job in my backyard and could not be more pleased with the outcome. Working with Alfredo was a joy. He's an exceptionally pleasant human being to be around. He was knowledgeable about what needed to be done and exercised his considerable expertise to make recommendations and shape the project in ways this layperson could not have contemplated. He listened to what I wanted and suggested enhancements that were hard to reject. I am particularly pleased with the plants he picked out and where he placed them while my kids agree the turf is best thing we've done to the house. I love that my kids have a new, safe, and beautiful play surface to enjoy. I'd trust Excell Landscaping with any landscaping job. I'm currently planning a hardscape lighting project with them and sometimes in the future plan to replace some dull brick with pavers. If I get results similar on future jobs, I'll be immensely pleased."

"They did an amazing job. We did a full backyard and they were fantastic to work with."

"Richard is a great guy to work with. I had a backyard grading and drainage issue whenever we get heavy rain here in Tuscon. He came up with the solution. He also extended my paver patio and built planter for me. He is also good at giving ideas if there is something that came up as work progress that you haven’t thought about before. He is also very polite. I will definitely work with him for my any future project. If I had known about Richard and his company two years ago when I moved to Tuscon and was looking for a Landscaper for my backyard, I wouldn’t have all this drainage issue. Thank you Richard and team for your hard work."

"Called and got an estimate the same day no problems; note that quoting here isn't very formal but it was fine for the work they did and payment a breeze so good for me. The job then went fine - the masonry part of the job adding to the wall was well done (a little light on the clean up but nothing awful, just know ahead of time that you won't have a pristine job site). The pillars they added by the gate look OK and seem structurally sound but may have been slightly off in measurement for the gate, then their attempt at re-hanging of the gate was somewhat botched but they also didn't balk when I told them to stop attempting it and just not charge me for that. They actually told me up front this was something they normally didn't do so it is partially my fault for going ahead with it. The price seemed reasonable for the work. If I had another straightforward masonry job I would consider hiring them again."

"LM did a fine job for me. Luis and his team were punctual, hard working and their attention to detail and work ethic were top notch. They even had to work through the hottest temperatures of the year. They are still needed at my home to finish up the remaining portion of brick pavers which I decided on late into the job. We had some extra pavers and felt it would be really nice to tie the front entrance into the side and backyard look. All in all very pleased with them and love my new backyard and side yard. Would totally recommend them to anyone."

"The work was performed in Trinity Presbyterian. On our flagstone walkway. The original flagstone was installed over 50 years ago in 1951. The craftsman that did the work performed excellently. Removing all of the mortar joints and replace him with new mortars. And replaced 16 damaged stones with new ones. This work restores our walkway for another years, for 50 years. We're very pleased with the outcome."
