The difficult part of this job was the bricks of our house were 50 years old and the original bricks were no longer available. Disciple went out and found bricks that were so similar, we couldn’t tell the difference. From first contact to completion of the job was less than 10 days. They were fabulous. "I had three different chimney companies come out for estimates, including Bricks. Bricks was the only one that bothered to actually thoroughly inspect my two fireplaces and wide chimney, discovering that one of my dampers was broken and more. The whole chimney needed to be stuccoed because the veneer stone on it was falling apart, and previous owners had covered a lot of it (foolishly) in roof tar. Bricks was the only company that thoroughly explained everything wrong, without using scare tactics. They were nice and patient, and I’m confident if anything goes wrong with the repair, they’d come out to fix it. It was a pricey job, but doing things right is often pricey. Worth it, though."

"John and his team did fantastic work on this project! There were 2 major aspects of my exterior restoration project. First was to remove failing stucco off the brick front face. This uncovered damaged headers that needed to be replaced, along with some brick work that needed to be restored. Second phase was to restore the bricks, replace the broken headers, and repoint. John's team lovingly restored the original 1920's bricks (even going out to Harrisburg to find matching bricks!), beautifully refinished the base beside the sidewalk, and installed a dryer vent. Everyone on the team was very communicative throughout the entire process, and left me with a lovely restored Philly row home! I would not hesitate to recommend Keystone Brick & Stucco for your exterior masonry needs."

"The coordination between the Driveway Lady and her partner/husband was not good. It felt like she was making promises and he was trying to cut corners. He tried to skimp on landscape fabric and on rolling (compacting) the stone until I insisted otherwise. I discovered after they left that his men had dumped about a ton of our old gravel base in the arborvitae bushes that line the far end of our long driveway. They also spread the stone unevenly, so that now, just a month later, weeds are coming up in some spots. While I personally like these people, I would not recommend them."

"Steve Hernandez, the crew leader, showed us detailed photos of the problems with our heating system flue and chimney. The former was in such bad condition he rescheduled work so he could get the job down that day! A few days later he and his crew came back to remove the badly worn chimney bricks and concrete crown and completely rebuild them. He had ordered and installed that day a custom cap. The crew was efficient and polite both days. Steve really helped me understand our own particular heating system and what to do going forward to keep it safe and efficient. Truly, kudos to Steve."
