"We really cannot give enough positive feedback about James Walsh and his very competent and pleasant crew! Our concrete front steps were in dire need of a facelift. We decided to add bluestone treads and brick risers. Our first dilemma was that the facade of our home was “used brick” and we weren’t sure how to match it as best as possible. James told us what to look for and sent us to his contact at a local brickyard to be sure we’d be satisfied with our choice. After selecting bricks, he sent us to another place to choose bluestone and pavers. He carefully explained all the choices we had for filling the “field” on the landing, i.e. whether to use thermal bluestone or pavers and the pluses and minuses of each. From there he helped us to change the design of our front walk (previously cement) and design a walkway in the back of our home from our deck to the driveway. James was fairly priced and accessible for questions before the job and as it proceeded. His crew showed up on time each day and worked carefully, neatly, and diligently. The job was completed on time and looked nicer than we could have anticipated. Our neighbors all came over to compliment the work. On top of everything, James has a great sense of humor and is delightful to work with. He is incredibly knowledgeable about his craft. We would not hesitate to recommend him and hire him again. "If I could give Frank Moretti 100 stars, I would! I bought a fixer upper 5 years ago and finally got around to fixing the outside of my house. I had my blacktop driveway replaced with Belgian block along the sides, two retaining walls, gravel laid along the side of my house and under my deck, a new front porch and brick on the house replaced with stone. He did it all and it turned out beautiful. Anyone who walks by my house compliments me! He was the best contractor I have ever worked with- always communicating, quick, affordable, and clean. I would recommend him to anyone! I will never use anyone else for masonry work!"

However, I do feel that I was overcharged for the work and would definitely recommend negotiating (and getting a 2nd opinion). "Work was done well and what was done looks good. The spacing between the blocks is less than the original which looks better but this resulted in the need for more blocks. I purchased additional blocks so that they could complete the border on one side but the other side is borderless. The job was supposed to have the walkway look the same once completed. Also, the material used in between the blocks has come out and popped up in places. I texted a couple of times to have it fixed but to no avail"
