"Had a leak in a 70 yr. old chimney w/three flues. Interviewed several HomeAdvisor contractors and with his experience and approach chose Build, USA who proposed a plan of action to address the leak and serious problem of fireplace smoke backing into our family room. To upgrade the chimney - old, damaged bricks were replaced w/o disturbing surrounding mortar. Then discovered the flues were too short: so flues, brick chimney & damper pull chains were lengthened and entire concrete crown replaced. The right size flue caps replaced. Copper flashing around chimney base replaced to extend over surrounding roof and sealed. Skylight flashing updated & secured. Chimney was hard brushed clean, waterproofed and guaranteed 25 years. "They responded quickly to my request. They came out and gave me a full quote that was reasonably priced. Quickly they came out and removed my old driveway, including removing a cracked cement area and making it smooth and straight, rather than oscillating. They then did a good job laying a stone base and installing Belgian blocks. A few days later they came out and installed the asphalt. They made sure it was evenly spread and smooth. No complaints."

"Everything went very smoothly. Work was completed expeditiously and exactly as agreed. The foreman Manny does beautiful work and manages his team well. The job site was left neat and clean at the end of each day, the workers respectful, and the results meticulous. Part of the job was straightforward: replacing stair treads, repointing brick, and pouring concrete. All was completed expertly. The other major part of the job was a complete rebuilding of a rough stone wall. Here's where Manny and the quality of the work really stood out to me. Not only was the rebuild was completed to spec (which included narrowing the footprint of the wall and patching the areas underneath), but the work was done with high attention to detail and taking the time and care to make the wall look as nice as possible.
