I hired smart housecleaning folks to clean my house weekly.  They did a pretty lack-luster job.  After a few months of giving them additional chances to get it right, I finally asked them to stop coming and am searching for someone else who cares a little more about the job they do and meeting customer needs. 

Examples of failures by cleaning team:
- A few weeks ago, I had spilled some coffee on the floor on my way to answer the door to let smart houseleaning folks in.  After they left, I noticed that the floor they supposedly cleaned still had a coffee spill from that morning.  Though they had "mopped" my floor, this obviously wasn't a very thorough mop job.  Another week we found piles of dust in front of our sofa.  It appeared they swept all of the dust in the room to the area between the sofa and the ottoman, and then just left it there, not only leaving the dust, but also clearly they failed to mop in that area.
-ceiling vents (air conditioning) not cleaned, serious dust buildup now, since they haven't touched it in two months of coming weekly
-floor vent (heater) -- never cleaned, lots of dust buildup.
-cat trees not vacuumed.  I have long haired cats.  they leave hair behind that has to be vacuumed.  Not rocket science.  This is something that we discussed upon the first visit.  Nevertheless the cleaning crew refused to clean the cat trees.  I spoke with them, and they mad a half-hearted attempt.  The next week they did nothing.  I left a message with the owner about this.  He failed to respond.  I continued to speak with the crew, with continued lack of results, but they never said "no", they just said OK, and then didn't follow through.  This awful service was a significant reason I cancelled their service.
