Here's the background: My partner and I bought a house that was not move-in ready, but had great potential. Tackling both the structural and decorative goals of an empty house at once felt overwhelming from the start. Shortly after the old flooring was removed, I knew we needed additional design help. We also needed to combine furnishings from two separate households. Much of this was in storage while we stayed in a smaller Chicago condo during the house renovations. With Forouzan's initial consultation, she helped us visualize the broad strokes of a "future state" and find a direction towards a cohesive look and feel. In all of our follow up conversations, she has answered questions to design dilemmas we encountered along the way, and provided much needed advice and recommendations for materials, fixtures, and potential colors that would work with both existing furnishings and new. This allowed us to ultimately select materials we love, including: countertops, kitchen cabinet finish and hardware; lighting, bathroom floor tile and accessories, and laundry room floor tile. The "before" and "after" photos will be quite fun!"

"I am so happy that I found Lori. My previous designer was good but her choices have not stood the test of time. I like things simple and very clean, but not boring so I hired Lori to refresh the space with new smaller pieces (eg drink tables, lamps) and colors (artwork, pillows etc). She listened to be carefully and knew how to take the basics and turn them into something elevated. I love coming home now to my new rooms and entertaining guests.
