"I had a wonderful time working with Gabrielle. She is a talented and empathetic designer who listened to what I sought in my office remodel. She was mindful of my budget and offered great advice on repurposing a few essential items I already had. The final product was so lovely I could use my office as a recording space for a work video! Gabrielle made my office into an excellent space that my whole family enjoys. I also worked with her on my house purchase and was able to initially use her expertise to look over home inspections, view houses via video chat and help me make a decision on the feasibility of said homes. Gabrielle's knowledge was imperative in my home buying decision. Furthermore, she was also pivotal in a kitchen remodle that I did in my small cottage home, attached to my main house. She helped us think of a strategy for removing a partial wall and also how to best position, construct and install a kitchen island. Needless to say, Gabrielle is a one stop shop for any building, interior and consulting needs that anyone has while building, buying, renovating or decorating a home. I highly recommend her services!"

"The process proceeded exactly as described. We were sent materials to make a template, we traced the table, choose the color for the top and bottom and sent the information to the company. Several weeks later our pads arrived. We really like the magnetic link between the pads and they stay together extremely well."

"We had Garden Structures & More add onto the beautiful privacy fence they had previously built for us, and we couldn't be happier with the final result. Our new and improved fence is even better than we had envisioned due to owner/designer/craftsman Hal's excellent ideas. All work was completed in a timely and professional manner. We truly enjoyed working with Hal and wouldn't hesitate to have him do our next home project. "

"We had two objectives. One was to replace some rotted posts in the back yard fence and the other was to enclose the yard by adding gates and fencing at the south and north sides of the house so that our two kitties can't get out and other critters can't get in. I had an idea in my mind of what I wanted, but, Amy Nosbush Reinke, their sales rep brought an idea book out that caused me to do more thinking about the project. She also communicates by email, which I appreciate because it reduces the phone tag method of communicating. The project was done during some of the worst weather of the summer - heavy rains that flooded the back yard and then excruciating heat. Communication is important to me, and Amy is quick to answer questions and concerns. The project went smoothly. I was really concerned about my gardens and the damage that would be done. But the men who did the repair were careful and I don't think it could have been completed with less damage. We are completely satisfied with the design, the installation and finished product and would definitely call Artistic Fence for other fencing projects.
The project did not involve posts and pre-manufactured sections of fencing. It was made to duplicate the shapes of the rails in our deck.
I was also impressed by a certificate of warranty given to us with the final bill that spells out the terms and coverage in plain language. I got the feeling that Artistic Fence doesn't just take the money and run, but wants satisfied customers and is confident enough in their workmanship to issue a five year warranty. I will refer them to friends and family that want fencing done without hesitation."

"They were trimming in our neighborhood, came door to door, pleasant to talk to. We had wanted to get the branches away from our roof and clean up the appearance of our tree's. They gave us a quote, we haggled a bit and we settled on a price. They came, trimmed the tree's being careful around our flower beds and yard decorations. I asked to have a few more branches cut off and they did so with no hesitation. They cleaned up the front and backyard spotless. I will keep the card and call them again if I need any tree work done.

"We purchased an older home, built in 1921, in the Summit Hill neighborhood of Saint Paul. It was in terrible condition -- a "fixer upper." It was the ugly duckling on the block. It was in bad need of new siding and windows throughout. We knew about Hoffman Weber (HW) and Jason Iwig from previous dealings at our old house in Bloomington. Those dealings resulted in a separate five-star review on Angie's List. So, when HW's estimate for windows and siding came back in the same ballpark as a couple of other very reputable companies, we immediately retained HW as our contractor. Jason met with us immediately after we committed to the project. He's extremely knowledgeable when it comes not only to the various siding products available but especially with respect to customizing design and aesthetic, with great attention to details like jut-outs, standard siding for lower and shake siding for upper, and decorative corbels etc. He was also able to provide several financing options from cash to a ten-year loan with relatively good rates. He was able to approve us on the spot. Jason then handed the project management over to Tim, who served as the foreman of the project by making regular visits and ensuring the crew had more than enough material on site to get the job done. Like Jason, Tim is extremely knowledgeable, thoughtful, and professional. He was always available to answer questions or address concerns, and always in a satisfactory (reasonable) manner. I'm sure all HW installers are great, but we feel we got particularly lucky with our installer crew, led by Boris. He was meticulous with his attention to detail, right down to the replacement of cable tv cords along the house. Everything had to be perfect with this guy. Yes, this meant a somewhat slower completion time, but I'll take slightly slow and meticulous over fast and sloppy any day. HW is the party that ultimately pays for this process, but it doesn't seem to bother them because our satisfaction always seemed of primary concern for them. Our 1921 house at 1116 Saint Clair Ave was an outlier in the neighborhood when we moved in, for all the wrong reasons. Now it's an outlier for all the right reasons. With Jason's help and artistic flair, we decided to use Hardie siding in the color Countrylane Red, with Arctic White trim. But we chose Birch Bark for the shake siding up on top, with a jut-out supported by corbels. We're happy. Our new neighbors are ecstatic. And passersby on Saint Clair stop to tell us how impressed they are. We really couldn't be happier with the job Hoffman Weber did for us, and we very sincerely hope those who read this review consider them for their project. Thanks."

Start by defining your goals and budget. Collect photos of rooms you love, jot down must-have features, and list what isn’t working in your current space. Share these details—and your target budget—during the first meeting. The clearer you are, the quicker a designer can translate your vision into a workable plan and keep costs in check.
Yes, working with an interior designer can help you save money. Designers prevent costly missteps, secure trade discounts on furniture and finishes, and coordinate the project so you don’t pay twice for the same work. Their upfront fee often pays for itself in avoided change orders, tighter timelines, and materials purchased at below-retail pricing.
A full interior design project wraps up in two to three months, on average, while a decorating job takes four to eight weeks. Timelines stretch if you add structural changes, custom millwork, or specialty materials, and unexpected shipping or permit delays can tack on extra days. Talk with your designer about project milestones and build in a little wiggle room.
Interview at least three pros whose portfolios match your style. Review their credentials and ask for references. During a face-to-face or virtual meeting, discuss your goals, budget, and timeline, and make sure their communication style and fee structure feel comfortable. The right designer combines technical know-how with a creative approach that clicks with you.
