"Highly Recommend! I’m a builder, but I didn’t fully understand all the requirements for my home addition projects. Thankfully, I found Jin and he made everything so much easier. They helped with all the permitting for the garage port, front porch, and fence, navigating the tricky city rules I wasn’t familiar with. Jin made it so much easier. He created the plans required for permitting and handled all the paperwork and tricky regulations, while always kept us in the loop. What could’ve been a stressful process ended up being pretty smooth thanks to their expertise. We’re really happy with how everything turned out, and I’m so glad we had them in our corner. If you need help with an architect Jin will help you out!"

"I strongly recommend Alii for any and all landscaping needs. Koa is an absolute pro and a master when it comes to running heavy equipment. His integrity is rock solid - he has consistently exceeded all my expectations. They are always on time, work efficiently and deliver A+ quality. And he’s an all around really great guy who you enjoy having on site. I’ve hired Alii ~10 times now and will continue to for many years to come."

"Outstanding! I highly recommend Lucas with CLP Construction. He is always prompt, highly professional, respectful of my home environment, and strives for results that reflect the vision of the client. He takes pride in his work and was meticulous with replacing bathroom countertops, sinks, and flooring in my 3 bathrooms. I am very pleased with the results! CLP estimates are also quite reasonable, making them an affordable option even in the Hawaii economy."

"Very well. They replaced some old light fixtures on the exterior of my house. Quick and professional."
Start by defining your goals and budget. Collect photos of rooms you love, jot down must-have features, and list what isn’t working in your current space. Share these details—and your target budget—during the first meeting. The clearer you are, the quicker a designer can translate your vision into a workable plan and keep costs in check.
Yes, working with an interior designer can help you save money. Designers prevent costly missteps, secure trade discounts on furniture and finishes, and coordinate the project so you don’t pay twice for the same work. Their upfront fee often pays for itself in avoided change orders, tighter timelines, and materials purchased at below-retail pricing.
A full interior design project wraps up in two to three months, on average, while a decorating job takes four to eight weeks. Timelines stretch if you add structural changes, custom millwork, or specialty materials, and unexpected shipping or permit delays can tack on extra days. Talk with your designer about project milestones and build in a little wiggle room.
Interview at least three pros whose portfolios match your style. Review their credentials and ask for references. During a face-to-face or virtual meeting, discuss your goals, budget, and timeline, and make sure their communication style and fee structure feel comfortable. The right designer combines technical know-how with a creative approach that clicks with you.
