After calling a number of movers from Angie's List I called Motivational Movers for a quote on moving a few pieces of furniture from Baltimore to Virginia.
I spoke with Amanda and explained that I just needed to move a few pieces of furniture. The previous companies I spoke with were helpful but had a minimum fee beyond my budget.  Amanda was very friendly and gave me a quote based on time & distance instead of just a flat minimum fee so the price was actually almost $300 less than the nearest competitor.
The movers showed up right on time (actually were a few minutes early) and were exceptional. We were working with an elderly couple and the movers were very patient, respectful, and did a great job of putting the couple at ease while getting the work done quickly. The movers did a few extra things that were really nice (helped to take out a number of trash bags, gave the couple some tips on packing other items, and helped me to pack a few heavy things in my car) and did not charge any extra fees at all.
I am extremely happy with Motivational Movers and would recommend them to anyone looking for great service at an excellent price.
