Customers say: True professional

"The yard was literally transformed and we've had so many compliments from the neighbors. Five guys worked for 13 hours on day one, and for another 6 hours on day two. They are very hard workers, but always with a smile. They used high quality (triple shredded) mulch and were very meticulous with their work. The gardens look amazing!"

"I got a deal from Berger about their table pad and just in time for my new dining room set. I didn't have time to set the template due to a new baby in the house. A few months later, they still honored my deal! WOW! I sent it in and they made the pad pretty quick. Shipping was fine and the fit was excellent. I would recommend them to anyone! Truly a good company to work with. A++"

"Excellent - I ended up hiring someone to help with shopping and finishing piece - waste of time and money. Jill's service was by far the most useful and best value in my decorating process.

"James did a fabulous job.  I would hire him again--and plan to!  He helped us design an upgrade of our kitchen island.  He kept us in the realm of possible and affordable while providing showcase end product.  We wanted classy and quality, without breaking the bank.  The island had appliances from the original construction (circa 1985) and James was  even able to convert a down draft vent to updraft with a sleek contemporary glass range hood.  I knew what was happening every step of the way and he kept in contact with me the entire time.  I've shown a few friends and colleagues pictures and they had the exact same comment, "That looks like a magazine photo!"  James did a great job and I'd recommend him to anyone."

FAQs for design and decorating projects in Wilmington, OH

Start by defining your goals and budget. Collect photos of rooms you love, jot down must-have features, and list what isn’t working in your current space. Share these details—and your target budget—during the first meeting. The clearer you are, the quicker a designer can translate your vision into a workable plan and keep costs in check.

Yes, working with an interior designer can help you save money. Designers prevent costly missteps, secure trade discounts on furniture and finishes, and coordinate the project so you don’t pay twice for the same work. Their upfront fee often pays for itself in avoided change orders, tighter timelines, and materials purchased at below-retail pricing.

A full interior design project wraps up in two to three months, on average, while a decorating job takes four to eight weeks. Timelines stretch if you add structural changes, custom millwork, or specialty materials, and unexpected shipping or permit delays can tack on extra days. Talk with your designer about project milestones and build in a little wiggle room.

Interview at least three pros whose portfolios match your style. Review their credentials and ask for references. During a face-to-face or virtual meeting, discuss your goals, budget, and timeline, and make sure their communication style and fee structure feel comfortable. The right designer combines technical know-how with a creative approach that clicks with you.
