He took the time to listen to my concerns, discuss different options, and suggest ways to make the finished project look more professional and easier on the eye. After looking at the room and hearing that it was getting extremely hot, he explained that adding the grille would not actually solve the problem because the real issue appears to be with the ductwork. I had already agreed to have him do the job, so he easily could have accepted the work and taken my money. Instead, he was honest and told me he did not recommend moving forward with something that would not fix the issue. That is more difficult work, as each panel has to be constructed from several planks. Moreover, the clear finish would leave any flaws more visible. He said he would be back next week, and I think he got slammed and had a hard time getting back over there, so when he got there, if he was not an Angie's List guy, I would make him come back and do it. His price is good. Not too many people do crown molding. It was not straight, his cut was off, and you can see it to the eye. Even if the wall is not straight, he needs to caulk it so it is straight to the eye. He is really a nice guy.
