"This was a very involved plaster repair and remediation job, in a very old house. Grady is the only person (or company) who was willing to take on the job and drive all the way from Pennsylvania to our home in Northern Virginia. There are very few people who do this kind of work anymore (we really searched) and he is an expert in his field. We needed to work around his schedule, because he is in demand in the tri-state area, so it took awhile to schedule the work to begin... but it was worth it."

"After our first contractor left us high and dry, our friends recommended Angie's List.  She told us about how the providers who belong to Angie's List are responsible and professional, so we asked her to give us a name of a handyman and construction service. That is when we were introduced to Walls Construction and Handyman Service.  We contacted them last Friday and their receptionist was very responsive and professional and made us feel at ease and asked if she could send over their field rep that evening due to our circumstance.  Their field rep came over Friday evening after work hours to look at what we needed done and was very professional too.  They allowed us to use our tile we had already purchased.   They showed up Monday morning Oct 8 at 9 AM as promised and completed the job beyond my expectations.  We will be booking future work with them to complete some other projects we have long been waiting for.  Thanks Angie's List. "They arrived promptly and started moving furniture. The room had never been painted after initial paint during construction. Kenny and crew did an outstanding job.  I was amazed that the gentleman doing the cut-in was so proficient and never had to use tape. The painting did take longer as I added the ceiling and stairwell to my original request but Kenny did his best to fit me in to finish up and in no time, the job was finished to my complete satisfaction.

"Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."

"Cougar Development did an excellent job creating a living space out of an addition to a home built in 1918. The drywall work was excellent as was the placing of needed electrical outlets and ceiling fan/lighting. Closet space is extremely hard to come by in our neighborhood and Cougar was able to build a 30 sq ft closet that our growing family is able to take advantage of. This room was just a storage space and is now a usable living area after Cougar was done with it. The quality of work for the price I paid was amazing! I have already recommended Cougar to those in my neighborhood and will continue to do so!"
