"Project: Repair and partially replace stucco surface of small retaining wall. Phil met with me and we discussed how to treat a short retaining wall that was losing the stucco surface after about 4 years since it was originally plastered. The wall was alowing water seepage to come thru the concrete block and lifting the original stucco finish off. Phil suggested a repair , consisting of first scraping all loose stucco off the wall and then applying an adhesive type undercoat followed by a total restucco of the wall. It was done very professionally , minimal debris, 2-day process , and it looks great. Now I just have to see how it holds up over the next 4-5 years . Highly recommend PG Plastering."

"I contacted Showcase Drywall 5/16/18. I spoke with Terry. I explained that we had an outside firepit installed in the backyard. However; In order to access the gas pipe for the outside firepit, a hole was cut into the wall, which also left the electrical outlet loose. I texted pictures of the area needing repair. Terry quoated a price for his services. I hired him. He came to our home on 5/17/18. Terry texted when he was enroute to our home, which is what he said he'd do. Terry and his coworker were punctual. Extremely professional. The area was prepped. Terry found that the electrical outlet on the wall were he was replacing the drywall was not connected/grounded properly. Before the drywall work could be completed, Terry reconnected and secured the electrical outlet properly to the wall, only after grounding the outlet properly. Terry and his coworker began the drywall reinstall. Once all work was completed. The area was swept up, wipped up and left very clean. The price Terry quoated for the drywall install, didn't change due to the additional work he did on reconnecting the electrical outlet, which I so appreciated. I asked Terry to look at our bathroom as we needed a remodel. Terry took time before he left our home to inspect the bathroom, explain what needed to be done and quoated a fair price for the remodel. I would HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend Terry and his company to anyone!! The work he did today, 5/17/18, was so professional and completed timely. It doesn't look like there was a hole in the wall at all. That's just how professional of a job this company did. I am a very very happy customer and can't wait to see this company work its magic on our bathroom.!!!"

"He did good, but later we realized many of the holes were patched uneven and required additional.work. We had to pay the painter to fix. In fairness to Al, we never called him back because we worried about the amount of time it would take to get him back workout interrupting the painter

"Cielo Construction has completed several projects in our house including the remodeling of our guest bathroom, master bathroom, kitchen and living room area. The design and remodeling was a custom European style/modern while the bathroom included a walk in tile shower, jet shower system, home automation and more… part of the design was to reposition the door opening for a much better use of space. Cielo construction staff helped us by selecting all of the finish materials including the tiles, upper and lower cabinets, accessories and more… including the color/style of the paint. Mike included also in his work the remodeling of the guest bathroom, drywall, type of texture, baseboards etc. He has excellent, professional craftsmanship and creativity skills. Cielo constructions approach and talent to meet our deadlines were fantastic and he was able to finish the remodeling project on time. We definitely recommend Cielo Construction and all the involved people that worked at our house for any type or style of construction or remodeling projects. We are very pleased with the completed project and we will hire them again for more upcoming projects. Thanks Cielo construction for a great job from a very happy customer."

"Lalo is awesome. He is always on time (usually early) and does a great job. This report is for the most recent work of painting three bathrooms, but he also has done extensive drywall repairs when I was remodeling my kitchen, and minor framing work (new doorway). I highly recommend Lalo because he is friendly, listens to what you want, and then actually does it. What a concept."
Load-bearing walls support the weight of your home's structure, including floors, roofs, and other building components. Non-load-bearing walls, on the other hand, serve only as partitions or room dividers. All exterior walls are typically load-bearing, even if they have design features like bump-outs or large glass panels. These walls need precise construction to ensure your home's structural integrity.
Removing a wall costs anywhere from $300 to $10,000 , depending on the size and whether it's load-bearing. Removing load-bearing walls is a more labor-intensive process and typically costs more. To get an accurate estimate for your project, consult a local contractor with the specifics of your wall.
Yes, there are other projects you can tackle at the same time when building a wall. Upgrading to energy-efficient windows or doors can enhance your home’s sustainability and can be integrated into the wall construction process. You might also consider removing existing walls to create an open-concept layout or building a home addition for extra space. Coordinating multiple projects can be cost-effective and streamline your renovation timeline. Discuss your goals with a contractor to help you plan effectively and maximize the benefits of your renovation.
The cost to build a partition wall varies depending on the size and type you choose. Half walls that don't reach the ceiling cost about $10 to $20 per linear foot . Full partition walls made with drywall may cost more due to additional materials and labor. Prices for accordion or panel walls vary widely based on materials and design. Factors like electrical work, insulation, and finishes will also influence your total cost.
Framing is the backbone of wall construction, creating a secure structure that supports everything else. Quality framing ensures that studs, electrical wiring, and plumbing are properly integrated into your home's design. A professional installer uses reliable materials like wood or metal to build a framework that meets building codes and ensures your wall is durable and safe.
