"Mack and his family were professional and helpful. Mack repaired badly rotted fascias and soffits, re-built dental molding, and re-installed gutters, using superior materials to what was there before. The work was completed quickly and efficiently, and the cost didn't break the bank. Can't recommend them enough: good people, good service, good work, and good prices! Thank you, Handymack."

Small jobs welcome

Hi neighbors! ?\n\nMy name is Lauren, and I'm the proud owner of The Handywoman Next Door. I started this service to help people who need reliable help with the everyday fixes and small projects around their home.\n\nWe all have those tasks that just don't get done.? I'll get to it later? list?loose cabinet handles, shelves that need hanging, light fixtures to change, furniture to assemble, decluttering project that just never seem to get done. That is where I come in.\n\nWhat makes The Handywoman Next Door special is that it's built on the idea of helping people feel comfortable asking for help. Many homeowners especially women, seniors, or anyone who simply hasn't learned how to do certain repairs often feel intimidated calling large contractors for small jobs. My goal is to provide friendly, honest, and dependable help without the pressure or judgment.\n\nI believe everyone deserves to feel confident and comfortable in their own home. Sometimes that means fixing something for you or helping you get it done.

"Chris came in very quickly to give me an estimate, and he was able to fit me in within 2 days. His quote was much more reasonable than others I had gotten, and even though the prep work for my floors ended up being much more difficult and time consuming than estimated, he did not charge me more than the original quote. I was on a very tight budget or I would have offered more. His crew was efficient and they left everything spotless! Chris does other things besides painting, (look him up in handyman category), and I plan to use him again. He does not promise to do things he thinks or knows should not be done (like a pocket door in a load-bearing wall) and gives very clear explanations. He does stone work, and if the quality of that work is equal to the quality of his painting, I will definitely use him for steps I need done in the future. I highly recommend Chris and his team!"

I am a 22 year old carpenter/cabinet shop manager from Madison Georgia. I was raised working with my dad in his own handyman company. He started the cabinet shop about 12 years ago and ever since then I have been around carpentry and all other aspects of handyman services! I was raised in church and am a firm believer in the Lord. \n\nI am very flexible with my areas of service, some areas include Clarke County, Morgan County, and Greene County! I am very skilled in carpentry and remodel work; such as drywall repair, painting, electrical, plumbing, some concrete pouring experience, and a good knowledge of trimming. \n\nI have always been taught to never do something halfway, no matter how long the job takes make sure it is to the customers standards and beyond, as I’ve gotten older I have grown to respect and appreciate that advice that has been given to me by many men in my line of work but most importantly, my dad!

FAQs for handyman service projects in High Shoals, GA

To measure the right size for a pet door, start by measuring your largest pet. The flap should be at least one inch taller than your tallest pet and at least two inches wider. It's also important to measure the step-over, which should be no more than one-third of your pet's height from the floor to the back.

Pet doors are safe when you implement proper security measures. Opting for models with locking covers or electronic controls—such as microchips or collar-activated sensors—enhances safety by ensuring only your pet can use the door. These features are especially valuable if you have young children or want to prevent stray animals and intruders from entering your home.

Pet doors can affect your energy efficiency by allowing outside air to enter and affect the temperature in your home. You can minimize this impact by choosing a high-quality, insulated pet door that's properly sealed and weatherproofed. Investing in energy-efficient models helps maintain indoor temperatures while giving your pet the freedom to come and go.
