"I was really worried we were going to face a huge bill. Heater is over 17 yrs. old. Jared not only arrived on time...he called ahead and asked if he could come 1 hr. early...and this on a Saturday! Jared looked the system over, gave it a good cleaning...(igniter was not getting the proper signal). We were good to go...So very thankful. The company does not even charge extra on weekends...They are my new company!"

"Our heat stopped working, of course right when it's the coldest time of the year. We contacted Aire Serv, and they were fantastic to work with. They initially thought it was our thermostat, but within two weeks, the furnace as a whole quit working. They ended up replacing our furnace and crediting the cost of the thermostat. Our old furnace was past it's recommended age. It turned out to be tough to remove, as it was the original furnace. We suspect it was built before the frame surrounding it. It required cutting into the ceiling drywall, but it was obvious their staff has encountered this in the past, and they showed their experience in dealing with such a difficult situation. You can tell that this is a company devoted to striving for excellent customer service. They answered all questions/concerns we had and made special accomodations to address our issues quickly. They care about the details like wearing booties, covering carpets/furniture, making sure not to do any damage, and performing full cleanup when the work was done. Their technical staff was great to work with, including Jaz, Charlie, Julian and Jiame (sp?). Also, the office staff of Shelly and Ryan also displayed wonderful customer service. Special kudos to Charlie who took the time to answer any questions or concerns we had about the new furnace and removing the old one. We would recommend this company to others for their Cooling/Heating needs. If you are the type of person that likes to do annual maintenance checks, I would also recommend asking about their yearly plans which includes discounts for services, free checkups, and priority scheduling."

When furnace quit again on a Saturday, he came back and correctly found problem due to age of furnace, correctly explained the longer term fix that is needed and didn't charge us a 2nd time as it was a call back. I got 3 bids from different HVAC companies, each initially selected based on web reviews. I chose Step By Step, which is small, not as well-known, and new to the business, based on my experience with Eric Juarez, who was personable and forthright in presentation, and straight in answering all my questions. Step By Step provided the most reasonable quote. The pricing allowed us to upgrade from R6 insulated ducting to R8. The house had original R4 builde-installed ducting. The Step By Step team was scheduled & arrived on time to perform removal of old duct work. Then Eric arrived plus a 3rd tech and the job was completed in about 4 hours. Throughout the process,, we were kept informed when techs would show up and what to expect. We are very satisfied with the work. We will use Step By Step again."
