"Hired this company to install new furnace and air conditioner. I was impressed with Mike the salesman, he worked with me to make sure I got the best system that I wanted for our house. My biggest concern with picking a company out to do the installation. Any retired HAVAC person will tell you that you can buy the best products, but if not installed right you are going to have problems. Don and Dwayne did an excellent job making sure everything was done right the first time ( no shortcuts ). Company stands behind their installations with a guarantee, that is important. I like that everything start to finish was one price, all listed on estimate before work began. I will continue you use this company for regular service and highly recommend them. They want to earn your repeat business not just make a quick buck off of you. Thank you John Berea,Oh"

"Matt and his team did a beautiful job installing a new furnace at a great price! The finished work was very clean and well done. They were also very responsive as the existing furnace was old and not functioning properly."

"I could not give a stronger recommendation for an HVAC company than All Weather. No, I have no association with this company whatsoever. But I hired them to do a semi-complicated replacement of two central AC systems that were dead or almost dead. I wanted to keep my existing furnaces. Because of a work backlog, they sent a technician to my house to fix my 23-year old unit that was dying until they could complete the installation. That was free. I got four different quotes and while they weren't the absolute cheapest (2nd cheapest), I knew they'd be the most competent. My new systems were installed in the most professional, competent way possible (and with a real estate background, I've seen 50 different ways that contractors can "hack" HVAC systems) and this company was terrific. The installation quality is 10 times more important than the type of equipment you buy and this company is top notch. If you want to support local, small business and get treated with amazing service and professionalism when it comes to your house, these are the people to hire."

"Aaron came out to assess my old AC unit and while here we discussed the age of my furnace. There was no high pressure sales involved. Aaron gave me a price quote for a new furnace and AC replacement within one day . I had the whole new system installed within a week. The installation went smoothly and the site was left neat and clean. Aaron is punctual, easy to talk with and ask questions of. I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing any HAC service."

FAQs for furnace / forced air heating system install or replace projects in North Olmsted, OH

Converting from an oil furnace to an electric furnace isn't a simple swap—the oil system needs to be completely removed before installing the electric furnace. You'll need a full electric system installation, but you might be able to reuse existing ductwork if it's up to current safety standards. You’ll need to budget for a new electric furnace installation, which costs between $1,800 and $6,200, including professional removal, proper disposal, and safe installation of the new system.

Electric furnaces are 100% efficient at converting electricity into heat. However, some of that heat can be lost as it travels through your home's ductwork or escapes through poorly insulated areas. That's why regular duct maintenance and proper home insulation are important to maximize your furnace's efficiency and reduce heat loss, ensuring consistent warmth and lower energy costs.

With proper maintenance, an electric furnace can last anywhere from 20 to 30 years, outlasting the average gas furnace's lifespan of 15 to 20 years. To keep your electric furnace running efficiently, schedule regular cleanings, tighten connections, and have inspections done before winter arrives. With routine maintenance, you’ll ensure consistent, safe heating for years to come.

The size of the electric furnace you need depends on factors like your home's square footage, climate, and insulation quality. As a general guideline, those who live in warmer climates should multiply their square footage by 30 to 35 BTUs, while those in cooler areas should multiply it by 50 to 60 BTUs.

Consulting with an HVAC professional can help you determine the exact size that's right for your home.

An electric furnace works by converting electricity into heat using high-resistance heating elements. A blower then pushes the warm air through your home's ductwork, distributing heat evenly throughout your space. Since there's no combustion involved, electric furnaces eliminate the risks associated with gas furnaces and provide consistent, reliable heating when properly installed.

An electric furnace uses between 40 and 80 kilowatts per day to heat your home. The exact amount it uses depends on factors like your home's size, insulation, and overall energy requirements. Larger homes or those with poor insulation use more energy than smaller, well-insulated spaces. A professional furnace assessment can help confirm the ideal unit size for your needs.
