"Things went very well. The sales process involved a home visit, discussion afterwards, and follow up by e-mail messages to determine what I needed in general, what I wanted in detail, the price, and understanding about rebates. Everything was clear, up front, and complete (for example, no additional costs showed up later). Airco was patient with me and spoke at my level. Their schedule was busy and there were a couple of misses before the installation date was agreed to. It was met without being changed by them. The installer was professional and courteous and put up well with my questions. The installation was done well in the proscribed time. Old stuff was carted away and clean up was done before departure. The air conditioner and new thermostat have worked well. It has been too warm to give the furnace a significant shake down. Airco did their paperwork for rebates and supplied me with the information I needed in a timely manner. There were a few misses scheduling the QIV test, but it was done at the agreed upon time and date. Again, in a very satisfactory fashion. My overall impression is of good, honest people.

"This company has been awesome. I am a Worcester resident and have no clue about heating systems. David Clay and his team came out to look at my boiler. It was not firing. Winter is fast approaching. David provided a free estimate and also encouraged me to look at quotes from other competitors. I did. And his pricing was best aligned with my budget. His quality of work is amazing. "Not easy finding an HVAC company willing to install a gas steam boiler. These guys did it all and did it well, removing the old oil burner and oil tank, installing a Weil McClain boiler including steam piping and hot water, installing gas piping, electrical and plumbing, including all inspections, even leaving me a temporary hot water heater until the furnace installation was completed. They fully accommodated my schedule as well. The town electrical inspector who came after installation was complete confirmed their good reputation."

"I typically get several estimates before any major expense. I do this to gather information as well as compare price and the people behind the websites. Two other companies were recommended to me by friends. Accurate was my third estimate. My previous furnace was installed by Accurate and serviced by Accurate so I was going to check with them before buying a new furnace. Accurate even showed up first thing one winter morning when the furnace didn't turn on.
Each estimate said something a little different about which furnace to buy and how it should be installed. Derek from Accurate showed up on time and appeared to know the product and the installation requirements - including the expectations of the local building inspector. The building inspector has to approve the installation when it is finished. I honestly don't know if I chose the right furnace by purchasing a TRANE. I didn't want the most expensive model and I wasn't pressured to buy it. I did buy the pricey air filter since a family member has allergies.
The installation process went very smoothly. The man who spent all day doing the installation was low-key, friendly, and appeared to be doing a careful job. E.g., he didn't talk on his cell or blare a radio. Accurate arranged for the plumber to do the gas line hook up and the electrician to connect the new furnace and install a CO2 alarm. The plumber returned at a later date to show the finished job to the building inspector.
It took a lot of time to learn about the new high efficiency furnaces, talk to friends about how they managed home heating issues, and then meet with contractors. Since it's such an expensive and long-term purchase, it's a tough decision. I decided to stay with Accurate based on past experience and I think it was the right call.
