"Very prompt, knowledgeable, and professional individual. Shawn was the most thorough of all potential contractors in reviewing my replacement boiler situation, and was able to convince me that I did not need a larger boiler recommended by another contractor. He arrived and completed the job as scheduled, and his work was excellent. The piping is neatly arranged and marked should I need to isolate a heating zone, and he took the time to explain all fluid flows for the heating system. I could not be happier with using Shawn for the installation of a replacement oil burner and hot water tank."

"First off, the consult was great. I was able to add services to my initial request and received a deal doing so. I also added a second set of services later that month. Adam and Steve completed the work and were completely professional and super efficient. They answered my questions and made sure I understood the work being performed. They worked with my schedule and were fantastic. I had a gas hook-up for a change from electric stove to gas stove - they even took care of the permits and inspection. They removed an old water access point for the fridge's icemaker that was in an awkward spot. They also added a regulator for the water pressure and water filtration system. Fantastic work all around. Should we need any more plumbing/gas work, I would definitely hire them again."

"Damien was able to schedule the annual/preventative maintenance on my gas boiler to meet my scheduling needs. Damien arrived on time, performed the needed service within the time and cost quoted, and educated me on the condition of my boiler. I would recommend Damien without hesitation."

"I had an excellent experience with Stephanie, Tim, and Spencer during the installation of my mini split system. From the very beginning, they were professional, friendly and communicative. They took the time to explain how the installation process would work and made sure I understood all the benefits of swtiching to the system. I felt well informed and supported. Since the installation, the system has made a huge difference in my hosuehold. The units are quiet, efficient, and give me the ability to control the temperature in all rooms in my household. Not only does it keep the space comftorable by replacing AC's but I've noticed the air quality and drop in my electricity bills are better. I"m grateful for the work this team did and would recommend them toothers. I trust them completely and wouldn't hesitate to use them in the future again. Thank you!"

Converting from an oil furnace to an electric furnace isn't a simple swap—the oil system needs to be completely removed before installing the electric furnace. You'll need a full electric system installation, but you might be able to reuse existing ductwork if it's up to current safety standards. You’ll need to budget for a new electric furnace installation, which costs between $1,800 and $6,200, including professional removal, proper disposal, and safe installation of the new system.
Electric furnaces are 100% efficient at converting electricity into heat. However, some of that heat can be lost as it travels through your home's ductwork or escapes through poorly insulated areas. That's why regular duct maintenance and proper home insulation are important to maximize your furnace's efficiency and reduce heat loss, ensuring consistent warmth and lower energy costs.
With proper maintenance, an electric furnace can last anywhere from 20 to 30 years, outlasting the average gas furnace's lifespan of 15 to 20 years. To keep your electric furnace running efficiently, schedule regular cleanings, tighten connections, and have inspections done before winter arrives. With routine maintenance, you’ll ensure consistent, safe heating for years to come.
The size of the electric furnace you need depends on factors like your home's square footage, climate, and insulation quality. As a general guideline, those who live in warmer climates should multiply their square footage by 30 to 35 BTUs, while those in cooler areas should multiply it by 50 to 60 BTUs.
Consulting with an HVAC professional can help you determine the exact size that's right for your home.
An electric furnace works by converting electricity into heat using high-resistance heating elements. A blower then pushes the warm air through your home's ductwork, distributing heat evenly throughout your space. Since there's no combustion involved, electric furnaces eliminate the risks associated with gas furnaces and provide consistent, reliable heating when properly installed.
An electric furnace uses between 40 and 80 kilowatts per day to heat your home. The exact amount it uses depends on factors like your home's size, insulation, and overall energy requirements. Larger homes or those with poor insulation use more energy than smaller, well-insulated spaces. A professional furnace assessment can help confirm the ideal unit size for your needs.
