"â Garcia Dry Wall (719) 464-0160 is top notch. I have used them for several projects in my home- small and big. His skill in matching the texture is phenomenal - all his work results were seamless. Not only is the team (if more than one is needed otherwise itâ s Guillermo Garcia-owner) skilled, knowledgeable, fast, and professional but they are honest and affordable and their customer service is outstanding. I had several Dry wall specialists come out and give quotes and he was the most affordable. Quite honestly I was worried and thought paying less would be reflected in his work - I was amazed how â Perfectâ and the expertise of the process and end results. Not only did he install new drywall where an electrician that I had hired totally damaged the walls while adding a surround sound system- ( he said 4-5 holes would need to be made- 14 hokes later, my media room ceiling nearly needed to be replaced! Thank goodness for Guillermo Drywall- installed new and matched the pattern and paint to perfection- all at a competitive cost! He also noticed a few places that a past dry wall tech had repaired when we moved here and asked if he could redo it for me- at no cost. Grant it, it was a smaller area but anyone else would have charged and he was right, it was an eyesore. And his professionalism and pride of his own work - wouldnâ t allow him to leave an area of lower standard to reflect on his work. So he fixed it! Wow- this is a rare quality! You wonâ t be sorry if you call to get a quote and hire them! GarcÃa Dry Wall company are truly experts with competitive pricing set upon a foundation of honesty and outstanding customer service."

"I had 1700 sf of attic space insulated and air sealed in a two attic, tri-level house. Ryan was absolutely awesome. He was very knowledgeable and answered everyone of my questions...I had a lot. They showed up early to every appointment. Once the job was completed, they did an awesome job cleaning up and vacuuming with their HEPA vacuum. I would highly, highly recommend these guys. They also filled out the Xcel rebates for me and subtracted from my bill. AND, they did a blower door test to validate the air leakiness of my house. They were able to reduce my leakiness by 52%!!! The next day, I could feel the difference already!"
Old insulation should be removed when it shows damage, contamination, or heavy deterioration. If you notice water stains, rodent droppings, mold, or large gaps, plan on taking it out to protect your home’s energy performance and indoor air quality. Removing compromised material eliminates health hazards, cuts energy loss, and sets the stage for a safer, more efficient attic—all while keeping utility bills in check.
R-value measures how well insulation resists heat flow—the higher the number, the better it slows heat transfer. The right R-value keeps your home warmer in winter and cooler in summer, saving energy year-round. Match the rating to your climate zone and have a pro verify performance over time, because moisture or settling can lower R-value and cut efficiency.
Attic insulation can stay in place for 80 to 100 years, but its performance often drops after the first 15. As dust, moisture, or mold build up, the material loses R-value and allows heat to escape. Schedule periodic inspections so a pro can tell you when replacement makes sense—helping you keep energy bills down and indoor comfort up.
You can over-insulate an attic. Beyond the recommended R-value, extra layers don’t add efficiency and can trap moisture, leading to mold or reduced performance. A local insulation pro can measure current levels, confirm the right target for your climate, and advise on any adjustments so you avoid future energy or maintenance headaches.
Insulation can be damaged by mold, pests, water leaks, or accidental electrical contact. When the material is compromised, it loses R-value and can introduce health hazards. Removing and replacing affected sections restores efficiency, while routine inspections from a qualified pro help you catch problems early and keep your attic safe and energy-smart.
