They replaced all the old grass and weeds, front and back yards, with sod; replaced all the old plants and shrubs in the front and back flower beds with the new ones we had requested; put in a 4 station sprinkler system; replaced the old retaining wall with new limestone blocks; and put in limestone trim around three of our front yard trees. "Being new to San Antonio, I didn't know any landscapers. So I turned to Angie's list. I'm so glad I did.
Kevin, of Botanical Designs, met me at my house to go over our desires and our budget. He worked with me to develop a beautiful landscape that stayed in budget. We are a shining star in the neighborhood thanks to Kevin's expert design.
Once started, the landscape took a couple of weeks to complete. They patiently worked around the construction crews and fixed what others broke. Kevin used native and nativized plants that are thriving. He was, and is, concerned about water flow on the property. He incorporated some natural techniques that are doing very well. I'm sure we will be return to implement more of his ideas.
George, Kevin's site manager, is a true professional. He was at our house over 90% of the time that the Botanical Landscape crew was working. George explained all of the native plants which were knew to me.
My only regret is that I couldn't do more. But, as I told Kevin, he's a part of the family and will be working on our house for years to come.

"So, my house has a nice shady backyard. The only downside isâ ¦..grass doesnâ t grow well in shade. My husband and I tried to grow several different grasses with no luck. We ended up with a dirt yard and when it rained, a muddy yard. Frustrated, we decided to get an estimate on artificial grass just to see if it was something we could afford. We decided on Southern Turf because of all the great reviews we read. I set up an appointment and Aaron Hamilton came to meet with us. He was on time and extremely nice and personable. He asked us what we wanted, and I showed him a picture I had drawn of my dream backyard. He took some measurements and showed us the different turf samples he had, and we chose the one we liked best. Aaron got back to us with the estimate by the next day. We were really surprised that it was going to cost way less than we had expected. We set a date for installation and Aaron gave us his personal cell phone number. This meant that we could communicate with him directly and didnâ t have to call the office and leave a message every time we needed to talk to him. This was great because we got rained out twice and had to reschedule. Both times Aaron communicated with us quickly and we set up a new date, hoping the weather would cooperate. When the installation finally took place, Aaron and his crew showed up on time and worked the whole day. Our yard was done in two days! Aaron and his crew were very polite and respectful and cleaned up the debris afterward. When I saw my yard for the first time I almost cried! It is so beautiful! No more weeds and dirt/mud. Our dogs LOVE it and have been running around happy as can be. We are so happy we chose Southern Turf and that we were able to work with Aaron and his crew. I would highly recommend this company and their team to anyone."

They accidentally cut a electrical wire to my tiny office in my backyard and came back immediately after hours to fix it quickly. They installed more sprinkler heads then I expected and my yard will never be dry again after this install. They talked me through how to use the system and how to hook it up to an app on my phone. I would recommend and use them again for future landscaping projects."
