"I was putting a house for sale on the market and I hired EJ Lopez Landscaping to redo the garden. I discussed the work (weeding, putting down mulch, trimming some trees and bushes, and planting some flowers) with Eyder, the owner. He gave me a quote, which seemed a little high but I really don't know the cost of these things. When the work was done, I was very impressed; it was different than I had imagined, involved considerable effort and made the yard perfect for the selling of a house. My real estate agent, who knows more about the costs of landscaping, said that I got a good price for the work. However, there was one plot in the front of the house where I had imagined there would be more flowers. When I spoke to Eyder about this, it was clear we had a misunderstanding about how this flower region should be handled. It might have been a problem of communication because I am learning Spanish and spoke in Spanish with Eyder throughout the entire process. I really wanted more flowers put in. EJ Lopez Landscaping had done the work on Wednesday and there was going to be a photo shoot on Friday. Eyder said that his schedule was full and it was doubtful he could do anything about the issue. However, he called me very early on Thursday morning and said he would get more flowers planted by doing the work before his regular hours. This shows me that Eyder values his customers a lot."

Always responsive and very flexible, putting up with my occasionally idiosyncratic requests, and always willing to work creatively as my husband and I are trying to reclaim a rather unruly back yard as we shift from a lawn to shade plants. "In addition to replacing a stockade fence, Arelio & crew demolished an empty garden shed, established a 4-foot edge for plants, and installed a paver patio in the middle of the back yard. They also replaced the steps from the enclosed porch to the back yard. Great job for a reasonable price -- very efficient (working late on the last day to complete job AND clean up). Would definitely hire them again."

"These guys are amazing! Jose responded to my service request in minutes, came by to quote the job (great price) 30 minutes later on a Friday and arrived bright and early Monday morning to do the work. A previous shrub removal contractor had left a complete mess, which Jose and his partner meticulously remedied, then beautifully edge and mulched multiple large garden beds (in 95 degree heat!) I donâ t impress easily, but I was blown away by their responsiveness and the quality of their workâ top notch! I will use them again and highly recommend them!"

"I contacted four landscapers through Angie's List. Two never responded; one got back to me but couldn't do the work for weeks. John's responded quickly, popped by to survey the job (without me even knowing!) and was able to schedule it within the week. Two men came by and worked for three or four hours on the bed. It was too tough for a tiller, so in the end they used an industrial aerator to loosen the dirt/roots, then raked it out. They did a great job, were very careful of the surrounding garden decorations, and thoroughly cleaned up after themselves. The job came in right on estimate, despite it being harder than they thought."
