"After agreeing on a time to meet, arrived on time to look at yard that needed clean up. Was supposed to get an estimate back quickly but it turned into a several day wait. Had to call to remind we were still waiting. Once back on track, the maintenance person came to rake up the yard and did a good job with my rake. His was a skinny metal tined rake that was pulling up the grass so I supplied a bigger, wider plastic rake so he could get the job done quicker. I have scheduled to have them back to do the lawn mowing so I'm happy with there work."

"Allen Outdoor performed the sprinkler installation in 2007 and does routine service that includes yearly back flow inspections required by the city of St. Louis as well as annual start up and shut down of the irrigation system.  It made sense that AOS having familiarity with installation and hardware to hire them for the service being done in conjunction with a back yard landscaping project designed and installed by a different local company.  While the end result was satisfactory, getting to that point was problematic due entirely to poor communication internally at AOS between customer service who scheduled the work first with me and then with the field crew who did the job.  I have no complaints about the work actually done, it will suit my purpose, but scheduling and managing the logistics when another contractor is involved proved to be a headache.  I did not solicit a second bid and regret not doing so because I dont' have a basis now for comparing the price I paid for what amounted to less than 3 hours of work involving very little excavation,  moving a control box about 18" and laying out drip line tubing.  I can't honestly say the experience inspired the kind of confidence that would make me go to AOS again

"They never give advanced notice of a visit, which makes it difficult with our dog, who is sometimes sensitive to fertilizers. Also, despite fall aeration and over seeding and several fertilizer treatments this spring, my lawn has never looked so bad. I had better results doing this myself."

"We absolutely could not be more happy with Chris and his crew from Cityscapes! They did LOTS of work: trimmed several large trees near our street, installed our new mailbox, completely redid our drainage on the sides and back of our house, removed a 20 foot shrub (including the huge stump), cleared out weeds and completely cleaned out and renewed our garden (leaving three redbuds and a rose bush), laid down mulch in that garden, cleared out brush in another corner of the yard, put down dirt, did rock edging on both gardens, seeded the lawns, put down weed preventer, and hauled all of the trash away. Later we talked about bug repelling plants we could add, and Chris spent a good amount of time giving recommendations, and we could not be more pleased with them! Not only great workers, but great people... we're sold!"
