A very steep, long and winding driveway. My major concern was traction. I discussed it with Ryan who explained what they would do to give me the best traction possible. I was impressed and his price was very competitive. We scheduled the job and he called me shortly thereafter to tell me that he could do it earlier and the weather was favorable. They showed up on time and were very meticulous! They applied the sealcoat by hand, added copious amounts of sand for traction and brushed it out laterally to give more tooth. We have had a few good rainfalls since they did the job. Everything is holding well and the traction is excellent. They filled all cracks and repaired holes before the job. It looks fabulous and I could not be more pleased. If every contractor were as fastidious as Ryan, we would have no need for Home Advisor!!! "

"Called on Monday and Richie the owner answered the phone. Very pleasant and helpful in answering my initial questions. He said he would come over the same day and would call when he was on his way. Richie did exactly that and spent at least 20 minutes with me and my wife going over our options. Once we agreed on the job, he went in his truck and wrote up an estimate that seemed very fair. He said he could have his team do the job the next day and we said fine. It was a 4-man team that arrived at 8am. There was a slight upcharge since they had to rip up two layers of asphalt instead of one. They were done by 4:00 or so and the driveway looks great. Best of all, they graded it so that all the water flows to the storm drain so no more flooding or puddles."

"We hired Harbor View Restoration for an extension that we wanted built on an existing first floor extension. The price was extremely fair and the crew showed up on time and began working on the demo portion of the project. Once the exterior wall was removed, the foreman called to show me that they discovered that the extension that we were building on was lacked all necessary supports and was likely put on without permits or was just a screened in porch that someone boxed into make it part of the main structure. Although there was clearly a problem, I called a friend who is a building inspector to verify that the everything that he was telling me was accurate. The inspector confirmed the problems and told us that we were lucky he didn’t just continue with the project and that he did the right thing by stopping.

Despite the additional cost to rebuild the first floor (a problem that had nothing to do with Harbor View), we are extremely pleased with the project. Both Frank and Mike went out of their way to guide us though the process, came to give the most cost effective method of safely resolving the problem, and had a crew at our house 6-days a week until the project was 100% complete.

We really consider ourselves lucky to have found them. We believe that if we had hired a small company, the project would have lasted months because they wouldn’t have been able to commit such a large crew to our house every day for a month to finish everything. We also believe that another company may have just thrown the extension on the first floor without rebuilding with the necessary support because they wouldn’t have had the capacity to fix it properly.

After the project was completed, I sent Frank and email to discuss a few minor imperfections. Less than 30 minutes later (at 9pm) he called to apologize for the problem and had a crew at our house at 8am the next day to resolve everything better than we ever expected. "
