"The owner showed up on a Saturday an hour after I made the call. We had a huge home in our roof and it was going to rain hard the next 3 days. The owner patched the roof himself to keep us from further damage until his company could replace entire roof and paint in areas that were destroyed around the house. "I learned of Ruddy Roofing via KLBJ radio advertisement. I called Ruddy to confirm his company could work on a standing seam metal roof, which he confirmed. I then explained the roof was located 2 hours west in the Hill Country. He agreed to drive out to survey the wind damage and to meet with the insurance claim adjuster. Ruddyâ s knowledge as a previous adjuster helped me greatly to identify additional storm damage of which I was unaware. In short, Ruddyâ s legacy in the roofing industry, follow-up, and knowing specific details was a great find for me. The project took 5 days to replace two roof structures totaling 6,700 sf using 24 gauge standing seam material. Ruddy managed the entire project onsite from start to finish. "Our home was hit by the Super Cell storm of January 10, 2020. Our roof was damaged in several places even to the point of exposing the raw wood under the shingles. We looked for a good reputable company to do our roof, we knew we wanted to replace the shingle roof material with a metal roof, one with the best gage metal and capable to withstand 120+ mph wind gusts. After reviewing four companies and their bids, we selected Green Knight to do our metal roofing for several reasons; first was the fact that Green Knight does metal roofing only, not shingles; second they demonstrated they had heard us and addressed our requests with proof of their work, having veteran roofing staff with the experience we were looking for; and third, which surprised us was the pricing. Green Knight had the most reasonable pricing and did not try to push us to go with another type of roofing material for our home. We knew also, that our roof construction was very complex, with challenging slope (9/12), and that it would require a capable company with the experience and expertise to install it properly and professionally. Green Knight did not disappoint us, they did a superb job and we are extremely pleased with their work, their warranty, their professionalism, and for their responsiveness to our requests and needs.
