"I hired Prime One Roofing, LLC to install a new copper valley, install a new copper boot for a vent stack, repair my chimney, repair broken slate, and put protective coatings on metal on my roof. Prime One Roofing, LLC was honest and they had fair prices. The crew that was sent to perform the work were friendly and did a good job. I would hire them again."

"For almost a year, we assumed the dark patch in our attic was caused by a roof leak. NY Roofing found that an upstairs bathroom fan was exhausting directly into the attic, creating moisture near the underside of the roof deck. The shingles were also near the end of their service life, but they were careful to distinguish the ventilation problem from rain entering through the roof. We could have corrected the bathroom exhaust and continued monitoring the older shingles. We ultimately chose replacement because of their age, widespread granule loss, and cracking along the sunny slope. The estimate included a new exterior exhaust termination, ventilation improvements, architectural shingles, underlayment, flashing, and a decking allowance. When the roof was opened, the sheathing around the old exhaust area was stained but still structurally sound. One smaller section closer to the eave had begun to delaminate and was replaced. The bathroom duct was then routed to the new roof cap instead"

"I called RRS for leak repair in my hot rolled bitumen roof. The previous summer I had spent 10k to have the entire roof redone (the work was not done by RRS). Less than a year later I had a massive leak in my roof, creating a water fall in my living room. RRS was hired to fix this leak and to do some preventative work, including re-caulking a 20x15 ft skylight and adding custom metal coping along the parapet walls. I was hard on these guys, but they were always pleasant & took great care in doing the work to high standards. The coping & custom metal work was fantastic - cut to the exact millimeter and perfectly shaped."
Maintaining your soffit is essential. You must inspect it twice yearly to catch any clear signs of deterioration. Look for cracks, mold, rotted wood, sagging sections, chipped paint, or missing boards. If these issues are detected, contact a professional immediately to repair or replace the damaged soffit and protect your home’s structural integrity.
To maintain your fascia boards and soffits, inspect them regularly to protect your roof and home's structure. Clean your gutters to remove debris and prevent moisture buildup. Repaint any damaged sections to keep moisture at bay. Upgrading drip edges and vents improves airflow and dispels moisture efficiently, helping you avoid severe damage and costly repairs.
While installing a new soffit over an existing soffit isn't common, it may be necessary in some older homes. If removing the original soffit could damage delicate structures, a professional might recommend installing the new soffit without complete removal. Always consult a qualified professional to assess the condition and ensure this method is safe and effective.
When hiring someone for soffit and fascia repair, choose a specialist with proven roofing and gutter systems expertise. A knowledgeable contractor will thoroughly inspect your home and provide a straightforward repair or replacement plan. Check online reviews and ask for references to ensure you receive high-quality service that delivers lasting results and strong protection for your home.
