It was a job that required some communicating since I live in Washington State and was buying mowing services for an ill friend who lives in LaPlata, MD. The employee I coordinated with was responsive, respectful, patient, and a good communicator. My friend said her yard looks great now. They even cleaned off her deck. They are going to be mowing her yard two more times in August. (The yard is about an acre in size.) I’m really pleased with how well everything went. I was on vacation for 2.5 weeks and when I came back I found that water leaked through the roof in the back room of my house. I was told DC got 8 inches of snow and that it got warm right after so the snow melted quickly. I called William McKay to come and look at the roof since they had such great reviews on Angie?s List. One of the brothers came out and was on time, I explained to him the problem and he went up on the roof, took pictures of what needed to be done and gave me an estimate. He did not know exactly why the water leaked since the roof was in good conditions (according to him). However, he showed me a picture where a nail has popped up (it is a flat roof) and that it was perhaps through that hole through which the water leaked into the house. He also talked about doing some minor repairs in order to prevent any future leaking. While he was up on the roof he also mentioned that a couple of my shingles from cone roof (the decorative part of the DC row houses) were missing and offered to fix it. After he showed me the pictures of what he would fix, he followed up with a contract and was back in my house the next week to do the work. He was on time, responsible, talkative, emailed me pictures of the roof once the work was completed and explained that if the roof leaked again in the following 12 months that they would come three times to fix it, however that if the roof needed to be replaced the payment I made for this job would be deducted from the overall cost of the replacement. This company was a pleasure to work with, responsible, professional, attentive, and although not cheap I believe you get what you pay for. I?d use them for sure again if I have problems with my roof or if I needed to replace the roof in the future.

"The only regret I have about hiring Travis Graham/Graham Restoration was that I didn't find him sooner!  I needed a variety of jobs done to get our house ready for the market, and Travis was able to take care of ALL of them, quickly and professionally.  He painted the exterior and replaced rotted and dog-chewed wood trim, replaced pickets, replaced damaged siding, replaced boards on our deck, did some gutter repair (actually repaired some guttering that I thought would have to be replaced, thus saving me considerable expense) and did a small plumbing job.  Travis was very responsive to my initial call and follow-up emails.  I needed the work done in a hurry and it was also during that period where it rained for three weeks putting the schedule into turmoil since much of the work was outside.  Travis communicated about what he could/couldn't do because of the weather and looked for openings in the weather to get the jobs done.  For my jobs, he charged an hourly rate plus materials (and I had almost all material on-site) and he does not waste time.  He doesn't hurry but he works quickly and methodically and stages the jobs to get the most done in the least time.  In short, I'm sure I'll have another punchlist once we have a buyer for our house and subsequent home inspection, and I will absolutely call Travis to take care of it."
