The one couch was very heavy with 2 recliners built into it. They decided to try to take this couch apart which took a long time and required tools they didn’t have with them. Took a while but they got the job done and were very nice about everything. I would call them again for future jobs."

"I do not like to take the time to leave negative reviews but if I can keep even one person from being taken advantage of by this company then it will be worth my time. My daughter and her two roommates were moving from one apartment to another. I offered to pitch in a little towards movers and to help them find someone. I found Moving Ahead Services here on Angie's List. I chose them due to their great reviews and an offer they had for two hours of service. I told Nick the contact person that we couldn't go much beyond the two hours but I knew until they saw the job they couldn't give a good estimate. I helped pack boxes and can say this was an organized move. I had to be out of town on moving day. The movers told my daughter in front of three witnesses that they were estimating 2-4 hours. When she said she can't go beyond 2 they said "it probably will be over but not by very much, maybe 30 min". They worked extremely slowly again based on testimony from three other people there. My daughter would have moved boxes herself to save time. When they hit the 3 hour mark my daughter said she couldn't have them much longer and that said she would unwrap all the furniture they wrapped. They then spent over 30 min trying to get a sofa up the stairs to their apartment. To move from a 1,000 sq ft apartment to another cost over $500! What really shows the ethics of this company is that when my daughter asked the movers what happened to the 2+ a little over estimate he said he told the dispatcher it would take 4 hours. The company did offer to refund the 30 min for trying but failing to get the couch upstairs. I turned them down and feel we were very much taken advantage of. Review update: After learning that I was upset with the quality and price of the move Moving Ahead Services refunded a large portion of what I paid."

Cheapest Ive found and has always been right on time while providing a professional service. Last time I needed junk removal was for a home we were selling where the renter destroyed the home and left it full of junk and trash. The young man for Arwood Waste showed up a little early and removed all junk from inside and out on the driveway which required two loads. I came back to inspect and was surprised to see that not only was the junk/trash removed but both inside the house and the driveway had been cleaned and swept. They handled it of total care and stored it in our garage with all the very long trim pieces for installation next day. Kind of an unusual item to deliver so was concerned about the glass, scratching, damage. Again, 5-star handling and very pleased!!"
