"We hired Shutter Professionals to install interior shutters on our windows. We have had a great experience so far with this family-owned business. Everyone we have dealt with has been extremely friendly. They show up on time, are very communicative, and are willing to work with your needs. They have lots of options so that you can tailor the design to your preferences, and the product is outstanding and warrantied. We have done half of our windows and we cannot wait to have the remaining half done later this year."

"I definitely recommend Alachua Blind Company and the owner, Matt Kramer. He has a large selection of high quality window treatments and works with the customer to get exactly what they want. His installation of the window coverings was faultless, efficient and extremely professional. His prices are very reasonable and his main concern is making sure the customer is happy.

"Got referred to Call The Treeman by a friend. Within a couple of hours of calling I had an estimate, detailing the job. The estimate was considerably lower then that of several competitors, it paid attention to detail, including foliage that needed protection, in ground lines that may be in the way and so forth. Within 2 days after we gave the nod, the team came, did exactly what they said they would do in the estimate and the tree was completely gone within one day. The yard and the street did not get damaged and were clean when we came home and we had a small pile of firewood as requested.
In summary, our experience with Call The Treeman has been absolutely fantastic, we recommend them highly and without any reservation and will use them for any future treework that we may have.

"Best quality and reasonable prices and they are very professional."

Custom window treatments cost $800 per window, ranging from $150 to $3,000 for materials alone, before labor is factored in. Blinds are the most economical option, while custom curtains and drapes are more expensive due to intricate designs and premium materials. The final cost depends on your style preferences, material quality, and the complexity of the installation.
Mini blinds are the most cost-effective window treatment available, providing efficient light control and exceptional value. They offer the lowest cost option at $600 per set and serve as a dependable solution for budget-conscious homeowners. Roller shades and valances offer cost savings by avoiding premium materials, ensuring that quality design and functional installations remain uncompromised.
Prices increase with larger windows, premium materials, and additional labor for complex installations. High-grade fabrics, hardwoods, intricate designs, and motorized hardware all contribute to the total cost. For instance, drapes run more than Roman shades because they use more fabric and detailing. Still, a well-chosen treatment pays you back in style, privacy, and insulation.
Layering treatments—say, a sheer shade paired with floor-length drapes—adds depth and polish to any room. Sticking to one color family keeps the look cohesive while mixing textures boosts dimension, sound absorption, and energy efficiency. You also gain flexible light control, shifting from full sun to total blackout without swapping hardware.
Energy-efficient window treatments lower energy costs by minimizing heat transfer through advanced fabric technology and design. They block excessive sunlight while maintaining a consistent indoor temperature, thereby reducing the demand on heating and cooling systems. They retain heat in winter and keep your home cool in summer, maintaining year-round comfort and producing measurable savings on electric bills through superior energy management.
Bay, picture, and dormer windows rarely pair well with shutters because their unique shapes demand more flexible coverings. For a cleaner fit and better performance, choose treatments tailored to those dimensions—think custom shades, drapes, or valances that accentuate the architecture instead of competing with it.
