"I recently had the pleasure of working with Daniel and his team at Breslin Blinds for a cellular shade installation, and I couldn't be more impressed. From start to finish, the entire process was seamless. Daniel and his team went above and beyond to ensure that the shades were the perfect fit for my windows, paying close attention to every detail. The level of professionalism was outstanding, and their customer service was exceptional. They were prompt, efficient, and thorough in their work, making sure I was completely satisfied with the final result. It's rare to find such a dedicated team that truly cares about the quality of their service and the satisfaction of their customers. I highly recommend Breslin Blinds for anyone in need of window treatments. Their expertise and commitment to excellence are second to none!"

"We had a representative come out and give us estimates to replace a few windows. The rep was great. He took his time with us, answering any questions we had and even brought in actual windows to show us examples of their work. Other companies rushed through their estimates ( I'm assuming it was because we only were getting 3 windows done so it was a smaller project and there were bigger projects out there to be had), or pressured us to get more windows replaced. Wellington stood out from the competitors because there was no pressure and the rep was very upfront about cost and quality of the windows. The only issue we had was getting the workers out to do the project. After we signed papers, the rep said we'd hear from the company in 3-4 days about scheduling workers to come out. A week went by and I finally called them. They got our date set up. On said date, no one came at the time they were supposed to. I called Wellington. They checked into it and said they would call me back with an answer. They didn't call back, but did have a team come out an hour later. I think their communication lines were a bit messed up, but I think a lot of it had to do with them being so busy at the end of the year (it was 2 weeks before the energy tax credit expired and the workers were doing a lot of jobs). The windows got put in that day in about 3 hours. The windows look great and are much less drafty than what we had before. Wellington was very helpful in explaining what we needed to do to get the energy tax credit. We would definitely use Wellington again to replace more windows."

"I hired Portico to replace three footings on a sun room/screened porch that had lifted over the winter. They did a fantastic job. The structure was installed by a different company who didn't seem to have a clue how to properly fix the problem. I met Clint Hanson at the Anoka county fair and explained the problem to him. He came to my house the following Tuesday to discuss the job and cost. He explained what had to be done and reassured me that he could fix it and fix right. The job involved removing the existing screen porch, cutting out a section of the cement slab, removing three support footings, installing three new footings and patching various holes and finish work. The job was completed in less then two days. At the end of each day the workers cleaned up the area and made it look like they hadn't even been there. When the job was complete they even washed the entire area with water leaving it cleaner than when they started. I couldn't be more pleased with the quality of work and the professionalism of the staff. As for price, you get what you pay for. I'd rather pay a little more upfront for quality than pay for the same job a second time. Excellent job Portico."

"They were very responsive, and came within budget. There was a lot of different projects that they worked on. We had a little difficulty with them completing a small project. The window blinds were purchased by us, and they were to install them. However, there was a series of problems with the blinds that were not of their doing. At the end of the day, we didn't feel like the blinds were installed properly. Overall, there were many positives to working with them. They solved the sewer problem very quickly. They're very attentive to their customers and measure themselves against a well laid out plan. They were highly responsive to our particular timing needs prior to selling the home."

"The salesperson was so thorough!  He really took me through all the options available and did not try to steer me in one direction.  There was great followup.  The windows I chose were a bit more pricey than I would have liked, but after installation, I have to say I got my money's worth.  Installation was timely and flawless, just one day to install all four windows.  They cleaned up after themselves beautifully and caused a minimum of stress and fuss, considering what they were doing.  All in all, a great experience.  I can recommend Sears with a clear conscience."

"Gary was excellent. I actually bought the wrong size curtain rods, but he was able to cut it down so it would fit my window. Above and beyond the call of duty. He was very polite and personable. I will call them again."

FAQs for window covering service projects in Hampton, MN

Custom window treatments cost $800 per window, ranging from $150 to $3,000 for materials alone, before labor is factored in. Blinds are the most economical option, while custom curtains and drapes are more expensive due to intricate designs and premium materials. The final cost depends on your style preferences, material quality, and the complexity of the installation.

Mini blinds are the most cost-effective window treatment available, providing efficient light control and exceptional value. They offer the lowest cost option at $600 per set and serve as a dependable solution for budget-conscious homeowners. Roller shades and valances offer cost savings by avoiding premium materials, ensuring that quality design and functional installations remain uncompromised.

Prices increase with larger windows, premium materials, and additional labor for complex installations. High-grade fabrics, hardwoods, intricate designs, and motorized hardware all contribute to the total cost. For instance, drapes run more than Roman shades because they use more fabric and detailing. Still, a well-chosen treatment pays you back in style, privacy, and insulation.

Layering treatments—say, a sheer shade paired with floor-length drapes—adds depth and polish to any room. Sticking to one color family keeps the look cohesive while mixing textures boosts dimension, sound absorption, and energy efficiency. You also gain flexible light control, shifting from full sun to total blackout without swapping hardware.

Energy-efficient window treatments lower energy costs by minimizing heat transfer through advanced fabric technology and design. They block excessive sunlight while maintaining a consistent indoor temperature, thereby reducing the demand on heating and cooling systems. They retain heat in winter and keep your home cool in summer, maintaining year-round comfort and producing measurable savings on electric bills through superior energy management.

Bay, picture, and dormer windows rarely pair well with shutters because their unique shapes demand more flexible coverings. For a cleaner fit and better performance, choose treatments tailored to those dimensions—think custom shades, drapes, or valances that accentuate the architecture instead of competing with it.
