"We had this work completed in December of 2018 - Linda Rau is great and very helpful in helping us make choices that work for our spaces. We had shades installed in our eat in nook and a window above the front door in our foyer. Out of the 5 bids, hers was the best and she had the best selection. A year later the shades still look fantastic and we get a lot of compliments. I recently called Linda to get a replacement part for the shade on the door and she remembered me and the job...that does not happen often. You'll be very satisfied when you select Linda for your job."

"Seth promptly called me back when I requested service. He actually came the same day and did the repair. We were very impressed with the quality of the work, his professionalism, and the price was great also. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND."

"We did an overhaul of our master suite - from removal of popcorn ceiling, moving switch plates, installing new lighting and baseboards, carpet. The bath was completely gutted, the doorway moved, glass block installed, new cabinetry, toilet moved, bathtub removed and tiled shower installed. IT LOOKS FANTASTIC. Anthony (and Travis) were wonderful to work with - always working with me to tweak this, add that. Anthony is superb at communication, kept me aware of scheduling via text, emails, and calls, was always prompt in responding. They went above and beyond and I'd hire them again. (I also used them for handyman work which was done well and efficiently.)"

FAQs for window covering service projects in Leawood, KS

Custom window treatments cost $800 per window, ranging from $150 to $3,000 for materials alone, before labor is factored in. Blinds are the most economical option, while custom curtains and drapes are more expensive due to intricate designs and premium materials. The final cost depends on your style preferences, material quality, and the complexity of the installation.

Mini blinds are the most cost-effective window treatment available, providing efficient light control and exceptional value. They offer the lowest cost option at $600 per set and serve as a dependable solution for budget-conscious homeowners. Roller shades and valances offer cost savings by avoiding premium materials, ensuring that quality design and functional installations remain uncompromised.

Prices increase with larger windows, premium materials, and additional labor for complex installations. High-grade fabrics, hardwoods, intricate designs, and motorized hardware all contribute to the total cost. For instance, drapes run more than Roman shades because they use more fabric and detailing. Still, a well-chosen treatment pays you back in style, privacy, and insulation.

Layering treatments—say, a sheer shade paired with floor-length drapes—adds depth and polish to any room. Sticking to one color family keeps the look cohesive while mixing textures boosts dimension, sound absorption, and energy efficiency. You also gain flexible light control, shifting from full sun to total blackout without swapping hardware.

Energy-efficient window treatments lower energy costs by minimizing heat transfer through advanced fabric technology and design. They block excessive sunlight while maintaining a consistent indoor temperature, thereby reducing the demand on heating and cooling systems. They retain heat in winter and keep your home cool in summer, maintaining year-round comfort and producing measurable savings on electric bills through superior energy management.

Bay, picture, and dormer windows rarely pair well with shutters because their unique shapes demand more flexible coverings. For a cleaner fit and better performance, choose treatments tailored to those dimensions—think custom shades, drapes, or valances that accentuate the architecture instead of competing with it.
