"The team at GoPro was fantastic. After trying other local businesses with no response, or having to chase them down to schedule the project, I came back to Home Advisor to see if I had better luck. I did! The owner of GoPro, Chuck, responded to me quickly and booked my job immediately. The day of the project, they arrived on time and went through all of my project items with me. They were professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. The owner checked in with me multiple times by message and in person on each day of the job. The lead on the project, David, went out of his way to do great work and provide me with additional information and options along the way. When the job required additional guys, they too were on time, professional, and got the job done! Finally, the job was reasonably priced and fair. Chuck came back after the work was done to make sure I was happy with the work. I highly recommend GoPro and will definitely be booking them for my future projects."

"I hired Belinda of Wow the Stage for a small master closet redo. She did a wonderful job and I now have so much more space with double hanging rods, shelves and drawers. She also brought stands for my hats and a jewelry box for my jewelry. She stayed in touch during the whole process."

Custom window treatments cost $800 per window, ranging from $150 to $3,000 for materials alone, before labor is factored in. Blinds are the most economical option, while custom curtains and drapes are more expensive due to intricate designs and premium materials. The final cost depends on your style preferences, material quality, and the complexity of the installation.
Mini blinds are the most cost-effective window treatment available, providing efficient light control and exceptional value. They offer the lowest cost option at $600 per set and serve as a dependable solution for budget-conscious homeowners. Roller shades and valances offer cost savings by avoiding premium materials, ensuring that quality design and functional installations remain uncompromised.
Prices increase with larger windows, premium materials, and additional labor for complex installations. High-grade fabrics, hardwoods, intricate designs, and motorized hardware all contribute to the total cost. For instance, drapes run more than Roman shades because they use more fabric and detailing. Still, a well-chosen treatment pays you back in style, privacy, and insulation.
Layering treatments—say, a sheer shade paired with floor-length drapes—adds depth and polish to any room. Sticking to one color family keeps the look cohesive while mixing textures boosts dimension, sound absorption, and energy efficiency. You also gain flexible light control, shifting from full sun to total blackout without swapping hardware.
Energy-efficient window treatments lower energy costs by minimizing heat transfer through advanced fabric technology and design. They block excessive sunlight while maintaining a consistent indoor temperature, thereby reducing the demand on heating and cooling systems. They retain heat in winter and keep your home cool in summer, maintaining year-round comfort and producing measurable savings on electric bills through superior energy management.
Bay, picture, and dormer windows rarely pair well with shutters because their unique shapes demand more flexible coverings. For a cleaner fit and better performance, choose treatments tailored to those dimensions—think custom shades, drapes, or valances that accentuate the architecture instead of competing with it.
