"Southern Shades is a top notch company! Jeff, came to my brand new “Forever-Post-Divorce-Home” during a pre-closing walk-thru that I was doing via FaceTime, to measure each & every window. He took great care & time measuring all my windows. After my closing, he can to my home with all the info, swatch colors, & a warm, friendly smile. I was very impressed with all the choices & prices available to me, that before he left, I had ordered & paid for my shutters up front!! He even included another discount for doing that. I had only one window that could not have a shutter installed & that was in the shower. It has one of those wavy, thick, frosted “privacy” windows & Jeff recommended a waterproof blind. The installation, of the shutters, went very quickly, & with hardly any mess! Nothing that running the dry swiffer(I have hard wood floors)couldn’t clean up. When it came to the bathroom window, it was the correct size & color but it was NOT waterproof. Jeff apologized & guaranteed the correct blind within the week. Even gave me some reimbursement due to the wrong blind being sent, even though it was not his fault. Yes, I received my blind & was installed within a few minutes. My plantation shutters look absolutely gorgeous in my home!! I can’t believe how nice they are. They have helped in keeping both my electric bill in the summer & gas bill in the winter down. They are easy to clean, open with no difficulties at all so I can clean the windows & window sills. I am a very satisfied & happy customer!! Plus, I found out his son was attending my oldest son & d-i-l’s alma malter college! So we had even more to talk about. I will keep that info between us, but it is a SEC university, & not Tennessee! (Sorry!) I would highly recommend Southern Shades to anyone considering plantation shutters, & a waterproof shade. They also carry all the other kinds of window treatments that were beautiful, but I love & wanted the shutters. Give them a call to see all they offer & the very reasonable prices they have.
