"Did not recieve the estimate after the consultant arrived. When I called back received the estimate very quickly. However the estimate was over 20K for 15 plantation shutter windows which is about double any of the other estimates."

"I have not actually used this company yet, but am very impressed by their sales rep so far. We made an appointment for a free consult last month and Melissa came out the very next day. We told her right away we are doing some remodeling and not ready for blinds yet, but wanted to know our options before we finish everything. She was fine with that and proceeded to take measurements and show us samples. She presented us with things we did not even know existed and answered all our questions. She gave us some different prices and explained how the ordering process works. Unfortunately we could not take advantage of the discount she offered that day, but she was not too pushy and offered to come back when we are ready. Melissa called us the other day to follow up and see if we had any more questions as our remodel comes along. She even offered to come back out and look at color choices again when we are done. I really appreciated that and cannot wait to call her back to order new shades when our house is ready. I would definitely recommend working with Melissa and Beltway Blinds."

"Carlos and his assistant was very polite and did an outstanding job. They fixed the ceiling drywall and painted it. In the living room and kitchen. They painted the hallway ceiling because it didn't didn't match up from the living room to the kitchen which that didn't have to. They repaired a high ceiling and painted and 2 bedrooms and the hallway up stairs. They cleaned up very nicely. I would highly recommend them. I will definitely get them if I need anything else done inside or outside"

"I can't say enough good things about Bob and his team. He was the only tinting company I actually got a call back from the first day, and worked hard to provide incredible services within my tight window (no pun intended!). Bob was knowledgeable, friendly, and flexible, and the installer Mike was very talented and punctual. Bob warned of a potential for small cracks between the window and the tint but you would have thought the tint was a part of the actual window. I would hire them 100x over and cannot recommend them enough."

"We are very happy to hear that Jacqueline Designs is still providing great products and service. It's been a few years since Roberta and Rich installed our Modern Solar Shades and Traditional Roller Shades. We look forward to working with Jacquline Designs again as we move into our recently renovated 1905 Farm House this summer. We have many windows and they all need to be dressed appropriately. We know without a doubt that Roberta and Rich will recommend, provide, and install the best window dressings and that we will be happy with for many years to come."

Custom window treatments cost $800 per window, ranging from $150 to $3,000 for materials alone, before labor is factored in. Blinds are the most economical option, while custom curtains and drapes are more expensive due to intricate designs and premium materials. The final cost depends on your style preferences, material quality, and the complexity of the installation.
Mini blinds are the most cost-effective window treatment available, providing efficient light control and exceptional value. They offer the lowest cost option at $600 per set and serve as a dependable solution for budget-conscious homeowners. Roller shades and valances offer cost savings by avoiding premium materials, ensuring that quality design and functional installations remain uncompromised.
Prices increase with larger windows, premium materials, and additional labor for complex installations. High-grade fabrics, hardwoods, intricate designs, and motorized hardware all contribute to the total cost. For instance, drapes run more than Roman shades because they use more fabric and detailing. Still, a well-chosen treatment pays you back in style, privacy, and insulation.
Layering treatments—say, a sheer shade paired with floor-length drapes—adds depth and polish to any room. Sticking to one color family keeps the look cohesive while mixing textures boosts dimension, sound absorption, and energy efficiency. You also gain flexible light control, shifting from full sun to total blackout without swapping hardware.
Energy-efficient window treatments lower energy costs by minimizing heat transfer through advanced fabric technology and design. They block excessive sunlight while maintaining a consistent indoor temperature, thereby reducing the demand on heating and cooling systems. They retain heat in winter and keep your home cool in summer, maintaining year-round comfort and producing measurable savings on electric bills through superior energy management.
Bay, picture, and dormer windows rarely pair well with shutters because their unique shapes demand more flexible coverings. For a cleaner fit and better performance, choose treatments tailored to those dimensions—think custom shades, drapes, or valances that accentuate the architecture instead of competing with it.
