"I've never purchased custom blinds before so I didn't quite know what it would cost. My wife and I purchased 15 custom shades (top-down bottom-up) and the total came in around the $4K mark. The sales consultant was very transparent with cost and helped us work through options and explained the outcome. She even gave us general interior design assistance and looked at carpet samples when that contractor arrived! There was an ordering issue for five of our windows. Once identified it didn't take more than a few hours to find a solution. They ended up re-ordering (rush delivery) the correct coverings and even though we technically paid less than we should have the company honored our original quote. It wasn't seamless but their service showed when things went wrong and that's what I'd expect. I'd hire them again."

"The blind spot came out to our client's penthouse to fix the remote motorized blinds that sat 16' above the floor in our client's penthouse, in addition one of the door shades had come completely off the frame. From the first call to the successful repair of all shades in the home, Michael Casella and his team did exactly as they said they would at the cost they estimated completing a repair that saved our client from having to invest in new window treatments. As a real estate professional that heavily depends on service professionals, we can say that it is rare to find a professional dedicated to their craft that communicates well and does as they say they will!"

"I had them restring a woven wood shade in our kitchen. Unfortunately (not their fault) the string broke again. Todd explained to me that it appeared to have been cut (he showed it to me). I have no idea how it happened, but I am convinced that it was not their fault. Normally, strings slowly fray and eventually break. He repaired it for me. I expected to receive a bill but never did. Thank you Todd for going above and beyond expectations. We will definitely use your services again."

"I’ve absolutely loved my experience with Todd. He’s always shown amazing performance with his work, extremely knowledgeable and honest. He has been an absolute life saver! I recommend him to everyone I know. It was great that he’s willing to help with whatever I need and was a great sounding board for my guest bath remodel. And I’ve hired him again for a master bath remodel, and he’s currently living up to the high expectation he left me with last time. I will always use him for future remodels or “handyman” work from now on!"

"Richard is wonderful! He is excellent with communication and very friendly. I needed to have some bird spikes placed on window ledges a good 15 feet high. He communicated all along the way, came exactly when he said he would and completed the job in a timely manner. The job was very successful, I’m happy to have successfully and safely deterred the birds . Will definitely call him for other projects in the future."

Custom window treatments cost $800 per window, ranging from $150 to $3,000 for materials alone, before labor is factored in. Blinds are the most economical option, while custom curtains and drapes are more expensive due to intricate designs and premium materials. The final cost depends on your style preferences, material quality, and the complexity of the installation.
Mini blinds are the most cost-effective window treatment available, providing efficient light control and exceptional value. They offer the lowest cost option at $600 per set and serve as a dependable solution for budget-conscious homeowners. Roller shades and valances offer cost savings by avoiding premium materials, ensuring that quality design and functional installations remain uncompromised.
Prices increase with larger windows, premium materials, and additional labor for complex installations. High-grade fabrics, hardwoods, intricate designs, and motorized hardware all contribute to the total cost. For instance, drapes run more than Roman shades because they use more fabric and detailing. Still, a well-chosen treatment pays you back in style, privacy, and insulation.
Layering treatments—say, a sheer shade paired with floor-length drapes—adds depth and polish to any room. Sticking to one color family keeps the look cohesive while mixing textures boosts dimension, sound absorption, and energy efficiency. You also gain flexible light control, shifting from full sun to total blackout without swapping hardware.
Energy-efficient window treatments lower energy costs by minimizing heat transfer through advanced fabric technology and design. They block excessive sunlight while maintaining a consistent indoor temperature, thereby reducing the demand on heating and cooling systems. They retain heat in winter and keep your home cool in summer, maintaining year-round comfort and producing measurable savings on electric bills through superior energy management.
Bay, picture, and dormer windows rarely pair well with shutters because their unique shapes demand more flexible coverings. For a cleaner fit and better performance, choose treatments tailored to those dimensions—think custom shades, drapes, or valances that accentuate the architecture instead of competing with it.
