"I needed windows replaced on my home which was built in 1947. The wood frame was rotted through. I first contacted Renewal By Anderson and was given a ridiculously high price. A second “contractor” gave a very low price but I got the feeling they were not professional. Then I contacted Major Homes. Lloyd came to my house and showed me a full size sample of the product (not just a corner cut (which is what Anderson showed me). Then he gave me what I consider to be a very reasonable price which was not even 1/3rd of what Anderson quote me. The timeline was good and the custom made windows arrived quicker than I had expected. A team of three very professional installers arrived and performed the installation in a way that impressed me. They obviously had a ton of experience and did the job perfectly. "I cannot thank Paul specifically for putting up with me! From the beginning I had a vision along with a number of pics from Pinterest of what I wanted my house to look like. For starters my home was covered in old stucco and a lot of rotted wood underneath which was a messy job to remove. His team actually not only replaced all the damage but even removed my front living room window, reframed and replaced, as well as sheet rocked, spackled and painted the inside seamlessly. Paul stated the entire process would take 2-3 weeks. Well not only did this transformation complete in just under two weeks but either Paul himself or someone from his team stopped by daily to check on the job. Any questions or concerns were answered immediately and his crew were an absolute pleasure to deal with. "The work was completed in 4 days. On the first day, 2 guys came to start adding insulation and siding on the first floor. All of the aluminum casings were shaped and cut on site. Areas where the old wood sidings were deteriorating was replaced by sheet wood. You had to watch them work everyday as they may miss some things, like they covered up my kitchen exhaust, and I had to get them cut out a hole for it. And you need to make sure they clean up after themselves, because the aluminum scrap is sharp and they're everywhere on the ground. I still need to pick up pieces here and there even a month after the work has been completed. By the 3rd day, a full crew of 5 people was on site to complete the second floor. I had to replace the first floor picture window, so they build the siding around it and left enough room for the window guys. The gutter guys took 2 hours to completely install gutters for first and second floor. They even left extra pieces for me in case I need to do some mod's to the existing liters. For window, we found out that the large window had a crack in it, but it was the supplier's fault. So we had to wait an extra week for that to come in. The window guy had an assistant, and it took them 3 hrs to install 3 pieces. They completed the aluminum casing around the window to complement the siding. Added caulk inside and outside. AHR took care of the permits. All costs were inclusive of the quote."
