"James and his crew arrived first thing in the morning and worked all day. They replaced 22 wood double hung windows with new Okna 600 Eco-Pro vinyl windows. The new windows look and work great. There was one minor problem with the horizontal sliding window located in the kitchen; on speaking with the owner Tom, they have ordered the required parts and will return to install them. Overall we are pleased with the quality, workmanship and value of the windows. They make the house look much better and are easier to operate than our old windows. "This is the second time we have hired Groundworks (formerly Bakers Waterproofing) to perform work at our house. The first project was in 2017 when we had the waterproofing system installed. We called Groundworks a few weeks ago to get an estimate on lifting our front sidewalk and stairs that have sunk a lot over the past year. The steps had sunk to the point that the railings were not connected to the house, making it very unsafe for anyone coming into the front of our home. Aaron Lenker & Corbin Gillichbover were very professional and knowledgeable when they arrived to assess our sidewalk and steps to lift them. They left our sidewalk and the surrounding area better than when they arrived. Our steps and sidewalk are now level, and the railings are securely attached to the house again. We are thrilled! "Hired company for complete deck tear down and rebuild with framing and trex deck. Deck work is amazing and we love the final product. Overall work was great quality and professional. Did have issues at times with completion dates and trying to contact john at times; however, John always got back to me in a timely manner and explained thoroughly what was going on. He will always get back to you and try to reticfy any issues you have, which was very nice to see and witness first hand. Modern day window contractors were not going to understand this job. It's very difficult to find a contractor that will come through on a promise and has the skill to do as they boast. The day that Grady stepped into my 90 year-old home that needed historic window restoration, he became a part of the house. He knew exactly what had to be done. More importantly, he understood my expectations. These windows needed special attention. There was a level of detail required that not any expert would be able to handle. Grady took the time to learn their needs and stayed on the job until it was to my satisfaction. He even reworked an entire window just because I didn't like the way that it looked. He replaced broken antique glass with one just as aged and just as historic. If a window had to be completely rebuilt beyond his solid estimate, he did it without any complications to my budget.
