"I contacted CWE to replace 8 windows and 1 patio door. Jeff came by and did the consultation. He was very friendly and professional. Communication 5/5 - Jeff was very responsive to questions and clearly communicated the work and timeline. Timeliness 5/5 - Both the consultation and installation started on time. The windows actually arrived sooner than expected. Quality 5/5 - The installation team laid down blankets before starting any work. They removed the old windows without damaging the surrounding wall. They installed the new windows and applied the cleanest caulk line I’ve ever seen. They cleaned up after themselves. The Anlin windows that were installed works perfectly and are beautiful."

"American Home Renewal recently replaced 7 double hung windows in our home. We had 3 window replacement companies come to our home discuss the process and give us estimates. Chris from American Home Renewal was by far the most professional. He spent time with us, accurately described the entire installation process with us and exhibited willingness and patience to hear and understand what we were looking for in the new windows. The American Home Renewal contract was clear, concise and straight forward. The 3 day installation process was fluid and fairly quiet and we were able to work from home. It had a minimal impact on our lives. The crew cleaned up thoroughly every day and took time to make sure we knew how to tilt the windows for eventual cleaning etc. Keith, the Production Manager, checked in a few times during the 3 day installation period to ensure everything was progressing to our satisfaction. We could not be more pleased with American Home Renewal's level of professional service and care."

"Adam clearly explained my choices, with prices, for my door screen repair work. His work was excellent and his prices were reasonable. He arrived on time, with a text message just prior to his arrival, as agreed."

"Did a great job aligning four off kilter doors and replacing the weather stripping on the exterior doors. Called me the day I posted the job and did the work the following day."

"Great experience. Found AMG doors and windows online and they reached out and were able to clearly and professionally explain the step by step process of measuring the door ordering and the installation process. They were hassle free and was able to give me and over the phone quote for my new French doors. The install only took them 4 hours and they keep the space clean and were very professional."

They have not yet contacted me regarding the work to be done. As I am preparing to go on a vacation and will not return until the middle of next week, I'm in no hurry. If I haven't heard from them by the end of next week (May 29), I will contact them the following week.

Later:

I had paid the $1,000 advance by Visa through Angie's List, since Best Exteriors only accepts Pay Pal. Angie's sent them a check, but Best Exteriors said they didn't know what it was for, so it took two months to get an agreement signed. It seems to me that they could have called Angie's to ask what it was for. If I received a check for that much and didn't know why, I'd be on the phone right away to find out. I paid it in March. The job was done in July.

The crew of two men showed up on time and did a great job installing the windows. The problems started after the windows were in. The re-installed my two window air conditioners, but left large gaps around them where wind and water could get in.

They fixed one of them before they left, but I had to call the office to get the other one done. It was fixed a week later, but then Alex called me and said it was not part of their job to put the A/C back in, and the customer should make the arrangements for that. Well, alright, but he didn't tell me that when he came out to make the arrangements for the work to be done. It would have been a deal breaker for me, as I am elderly and not strong enough to do that. He said they had "gone above and beyond" by putting the A/C back in for me, but I don't think it's too much to expect them to put things back as they were when they started the job. Certainly they should have told me if it wasn't part of the agreement.

"Mr. Rick Pellhum, the General Manager, of "Northwest" Home Improvements, expertise, insight, and patient, courteous, professionalism and return inspection - with reviews and suggestions - were extensive and very helpful and useful in getting the non-tempered glass windows replaced and negotiating the same with the regrettable contractor we had used instead of Northwest.. Rick goes the extra mile in demonstrations of products and explanations of how things work and should be done. He takes his time and fully and objectively ticks all the boxes and covers all the bases. Once he has discussed a project proposal with you - you have been educated and really have a grasp of all the details. He fully engages you in sharing his knowledge and years of experience and the confidence that he has in his company's products, ethics, capabilities and workmanship. In hindsight now I can honestly say we should have gone with Northwest and I regret not having done so. Rick demonstrated the difference between the windows/product we ended up with, and the ones Northwest had proposed installing for us, by going out to his vehicle and bringing in an infrared lamp that when plugged in and held up to the window panes we have - versus the ones we could have had if we had contracted with Northwest Exteriors - clearly indicated an inferior product was installed by the party we went with. Rick was kind enough to outline remedial steps for me towards resolving the issues we were facing with the competitor we had gone with instead of Northwest. He gave me very sound advice. I highly recommend Rick and Northwest. In all of my dealings with him/them over the last year and to date they have always been responsible, punctual, professional, courteous and very thorough and reliable.

"The tile in the shower was done well, but the tile on the floor was not. The tile was uneven, grout missing and they put in the wrong drain cover. So, they came back and fixed it. The etched window in the shower that was caulked had mold growing under it. They came back and re-caulked it. The thermostat for the floor was not installed on it's own dedicated circuit, so an electrician has to come and fixed it."

"The work was very professional. It was done very efficiently and he even installed a smart lock"

"John Garle (Cape Cod Handyman) has become our absolute go-to for everything from specialized installations to everyday home repairs. He first responded to our Angie’s List post for a blackout blinds installation involving 17 windows of all different types and sizes. It was a project that required precise measurements and execution. Not only was John’s bid the best he also finished ahead of schedule, resulting in a lower final cost and truly exceptional craftsmanship. He even worked tirelessly with Home Depot to secure a much better price on materials than we could get on our own. Since then, we’ve relied on him for stockade fence repairs, minor plumbing jobs, and sliding door lock replacements. He is efficient, fair, and hands-down the best handyman we have found on the Cape. Highly recommended."
